Pattaya – Police Cyber Taskforce (PCT) Police raided a house in Jomtien late last night and arrested one Chinese national, three Thai men, and one transgender Thai national for allegedly filming adult entertainment films in the Pattaya area.

 

A team from the PCT Police led by Major General Chaipojjana Suwannarak conducted the raid at 11:30 P.M. last night, July 5th, armed with a search warrant from the Pattaya Provincial Court at a house in Soi Jomtien 8 off of Jomtien Second Road.

 

Police found and arrested three Thai men, one transgender Thai, and one Chinese national. The suspects were reportedly arrested while in the middle of filming an adult movie.

I finally landed a part in a porn movie.  I am the husband away at work. 

The goons in charge are focusing their efforts in all the wrong areas. They are trying to make Thailand a Quaker State. A land of purity. Total BS. Nonsensical. As if we believe these guys are sincere about any of it.

 

Misplaced priorities, and wasted efforts. And likely completely fake and hypocritical. No doubt these terribly misguided fools are trying to rid Thailand of one of it's most popular attractions. The nightlife. And we are not just talking about the "industry". Little do these ninnies know, the girls will just go underground, and online, but it will operate more in line with the enormous sex industry in the US. Illegal, underground, unprotected, unregulated, potentially overpriced, and potentially more dangerous for all involved. So, they would be moving the nation backwards, and harming their people, and tourism, in the process.

They should be focusing their efforts on traffic and public safety, easing import tariffs, making visa policy simpler, and more friendly, boosting Western tourism (of that is even possible at this late stage, after spending ten years sabotaging the industry), real crackdowns on slavery, illegal fishing (instead of nonsensical hyperbole), and police corruption, cleaning up the water, the air, the rivers, and the beaches, and other things that actually improve lives.

It'll never stand up in court.

Wait and see what the 'new' pattaya is like after all the area has been bought up and quite a few bits get bulldozed and rebuilt.

Not saying that's what I want or don't want, just saying it's a likely could be.

Look up "phoenix massage parlor sting". On May 27th, in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, cops just sat in a fake massage parlor all day long, and busted 47 guys. Likely enjoying donuts and what have you. When, gee, I dunno, there's countless other burglaries, robberies, domestic violence, drug addicted zombies staggering through the streets, and many other things now deemed "non-essential" happening, simply because they "don't have the manpower". I was under the impression all of Pattaya is an adult movie.

And no, this isn't some effort to turn Thailand into some kind of puritanical state. 
The laws against nudity, porn and gambling have been on the books for generations.

Yes, we all know there is a large sex industry in Thailand (yawn) and it's been going on forever.  
(Long before "Pattaya" became Pattaya even !). 

Generally, the police ignore most of what goes on, so long as it isn't blatantly in the public view.

But when it is, or gets reported, they have to act.

Also makes good PR with the people who "really matter" (i.e. the elite in Bangkok).

It is much worse in the US. But, they have been suffering under the yoke of fake puritanism for over 300 years now. They are absolutely obsessed with squashing all pleasure, and fun. And making completely unnecessary arrests of innocent, otherwise law abiding people simply trying to have some fun, getting some release from stress, and clogging up the jails and legal system in the process. As a result, the US has the highest per capita number of people in prisons, of any country in the world. In addition, their astonishing ignorance and folly is driving the industry further underground, and making it much more dangerous for the women.

 

The extent of the folly, is comparable only to the monumental failure of the so called "war on drugs" in the US. Two blights on the land, and two historically flawed legal policies. Both based on fake morality, and largely driven by a super corrupt private prison industry.

The United States currently has over 2.1 million total prisoners. The prison population in 1972 was 200,000.
