I say it again: opening up a country with such a low vaccination rate amidst Delta is a suicide mission. Deaths have not gone down; soon they will go up. 
 

Their concept could have worked if:

 

1. Enough people would be vaccinated;

 

2. They would remove the option to have tested negative (or at least would replace it with a recent PCR test); 

 

3. This country wouldn’t be prone to “mai pen rai”, “money talks”, “face” and turning a blind eye. 
 

Unvaccinated people will easily get into restaurants. ATK tests have a low sensitivity rate (ie., lots of false negatives). Enough people are desperate enough to go out. 
 

This will end bad so despite having received my two AZ jabs I’ll probably keep staying at home as much as possible.

 If it was about health the government would have been pushing physical fitness. We have had a year and a half to get in shape. Obesity seems to be the real issue with this. Maybe restaurants should put  fat assed people on a scale and when the number passes 100 kg they don’t let you in while the healthy can go eat all they want. 

 

We have been hearing this same story for the last year and a half. Save the health care system. If they haven’t made plans to expand capacity at this point they are completely inept and need to be replaced with capable people.

So this month while we don't have enough vax or test kits at affordable prices it's safe but next month if we do it won't be unless you conform and fill out a form in an app and show proof every time you want to stop in and get a quick bite? May work for mall restaurants but for local places especially Thai hole in the wall and street side places not a chance. More clueless flip flopping, can't wait for tomorrow's new idea LOL

Staying at home as much as possible is your choice, but most people are not so risk adverse.

I find it absurd to read about all the restrictions and regulations for dining out, yet when I take the Airport Rail Link or BTS in the mornings, they are both quite full. 

This tells me that this virus likes eating out too, but doesn't take public transport.
