Sounding like real success story! ????

1.2 billion baht from 100.000 tourists,

that’s 12,000 baht per “tourist”.

… roughly 310 € or 265 £ per tourist … ????

Sounds like a bunch of 'Cheap Charlies' expected.  The math of expected arrivals and amounts spent just does not compute.

How can they get away with these utterly fabricated lies ?

Everyone knows that it won’t happen and they won’t even get close , so why keep spouting it out ! Is it to think the masses are that dumb they might just believe it and not notice the government doing nothing to help while peoples businesses go down the drain !

A transport ministry advisor named Udon Olsan is now the Man of the Hour - it seems.

Good luck to Hua Hin and do not expect anything to happen; just rely on the Phuket experience and if that is not good enough, take the sandboxing news from Samui island.

Is there anybody in this government with a whiff of common sense - me wonders?

And if they don't meet that amount will they get up and say with a straight face " we never said that where you get that information? " just like the October 1st opening?

A transport ministry advisor

You have to blame the reporters sometimes. Who gives a flying f#@$ what this dolt says. Why even write about it?

Again with the day dreamers and their telephone numbers predictions, just look at your current fantasy trip in Phuket sandbox and this is what will happen everywhere else...

And as always that obscene obsession with money money money. It for sure is one ugly element of the Thai culture.

I don’t believe that big Jets can land in Huahin

Oh ye of little faith. 1 October is two weeks away. More than enough time to make the necessary infrastructure changes, get ICAO approval, etc.????

All this kind of stuff is good click-bait nonsense. And all this on a day when the UK has kept Thailand on the red list and the visa excempt sandbox scheme will reduce from 45 days to 30 days in October.

And if you are flying from a country that only lands in Bangkok, how do you get to Hua Hin? I already checked Hua Hin airport arrivals, do not have any! Need a LOT more information.

So TAT and the Thai government want a high season of tourism this Winter?

Well in November first, the country should lose all of the restrictions so that the working class

of people who only get 3 weeks vacation can come and escape the cold Northern Hemisphere Winter.

A test at the airport when landed, and being fully vaccinated with 2 shots of a COVID vaccine should

be all that is required.  If they want a complete failure, then keep up the no alcohol rules. Keep up the no fun

by playing pool or other sports ruling as well.   There are many other tropical countries in the world, and Thailand

may lose out to some of them if the present rules and restrictions are kept much longer.     Something for

the government and TAT to keep in their planning stages.  However keep up with the vaccination program

and please do announce to the world when at least 75 percent of the teens and adults in Thailand have had

their second shots of the COVID vaccines.  Good Luck

Geezer
