I read on Wikipedia that the series is about the social inequalities in South Korea, with players who are highly indebted. - Now, what country exemplifies these two circumstances like no other?

Seriously, I'm not surprised that a few influential families, and also the cops, whose task it is to defend the riches of the top 1% in this feudal society, are getting a bit nervous...

It's not surprising that Squid Game is popular with the Thai youth! Good luck to them.

Many kids won't watch Squid Game because they're on their PCs shooting, stabbing people and stealing cars.

"Red light"!

I've watched some highlights on YouTube. "Red light/Green light" and 'jumping on the glass panels' are great!

It's  the bit where they push the squid through that ribbed roller mangle which makes me shudder.......

The Thai kids can better watch the news in Thailand... There they will see and hear how, when , and for what tiny problems will be killed for nothing.

How ironic. Another warning not to copy the antics of Joe Ferrari from the videos freely available on the internet beckons as well.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to that guy.  All quiet...

If the Authorities are concerned about the TV Series then why don't the censor it like they do to so many others ?

The even censor stab wounds etc- they are not real ones so what's the point?

The deputy spokesman for the Royal Thai Police has told the Thai people not to copy behavior shown in streaming platform Netflix's Korean drama Squid Game.

Perfect example of precisely how the RTP, government, and elite, view the average Thai person.

I've watched it, its brilliant.

Its not really about equality, all of the players are in financial trouble. Some through gambling, fraud. One left a Casino in PI owing a ton. Another lost millions in his job as a futures trader. The main character had gambling debts, borrowing money to bet on horses.

So poor, yes. Also their own doing. So somewhat more complex than just them and us.

Of course, the people running the game are ultra wealthy but the game is optional.

Its way more sophisticated and layered than "them vs us"

As for copying scenes. No idea why they think this would happen.
