I flew in two days ago on a Japanese airline, stopped in Tokyo. Only time I wore a mask on the flight was when I moved about the plane. All the flight attendants were wonderful, didn't say a thing.

I live in LA, and I know what you are talking about.   today just went to Ventura county fair and was surprised and amazed that I only saw few people wearing a mask outdoors while 2-3 thousand people are back to normal thank God, I think few more month here and people will be back to our good old norms, and I'm hoping Thailand and other places by mid or end of 2022 will also normalize.

Everybody wears a mask when out and about here, can't understand what's so hard about it for some.

Nobody has blamed anyone for getting the disease, but the actions to avoid the spread is well known.

With Chickenpox the patient stays home and anyone that hasn't had chickenpox stays away.

With flu, most people take a shot and stay at home until they are better.

Herpes isn't spread through the air like Covid.

Mumps, Measles and Rubella you get vaccinated for when young.

 

Isn't it safer to err on the side of caution and wear a mask, or are you taking the Braveheart approach?

Seems like theres a tiny minority of people who are so fixated on covid that they will never move on, yet for whatever reason they are the loudest and most insufferable and want everyone around them to know it. 

 

Covid is not going away. Nobody is going to stop the spread. Masks will not stop this disease. Vaccinations will not stop the disease.

So if i am outside with a Starbucks coffee cup to go in hands my mask can off. Then if i am walking outdoors its exercising while exercising the advice is to don’t wear masks. To wear these probably useless cheap masks only indoors seems makes more sense.

Ohh I can. It's because they are selfish, 'me me' type people who only think of themselves. You see them everywhere, panic buying in the supermarkets, parking in disabled bays, using disabled toilets, doing u-turns on the High road, double parking close to an atm machine, going on foreign holidays during a pandemic, ignoring the 2m rule. I AM fully vaccinated AND I wear a mask outside as per government instruction.

And guess what? I have got on with my life.

Why don't you do the same just with a mask on.

It's pretty simple. Soon as you leave your apartment/house you are meant to wear a mask. On motorbike you are meant to wear a mask as well. I have been stopped at traffic lights many times and see thais taking photos of foreigners not wearing masks as well as their bike license plates. What happens to them no idea, but if you get caught multiple times without a mask there was a chance of being blacklisted (Whether that is still the case no idea). Just wear a mask when outside even if it is just under the nose, most people don't care as long as you have a mask on!

When you do outdoor exercises, try to maintain at least six feet or 2 meters of distance between you and other people.

Actually, I might start wearing a mask on the motorbike full time after the pandemic.

It cuts out the particulate matter from exhausts and Phuket can have a lot of traffic.

Stops at traffic lights (we have plenty of those, too) are the worst.

Might have to get goggles, too. Avoid being blinded when you drive through an invisible cloud of fried chili fumes.
