Chiang Mai woman’s risqué attire results in visit from police

Daily News reported on the case of an attractive 23 year old woman in Chiang Mai who was featured online in a skimpy "no bra" costume selling a popular street snack.

 

Nong Olive - real name Aranya Apaiso - not surprisingly found that most of her new customers were men.

 

She was doing a roaring trade as the men slathered for her treats. 

 

This was not missed on the cultural affairs department in Chiang Mai, the local council and the Chang Pheuak police who paid her a visit.

 

The council and the police showed her how to wear an apron and serve food in a hygienic manner and advised her to social distance if people asked for selfies.

 

The culture department said they couldn't dictate how she dressed but asked for her cooperation in making it a bit more conservative, reported Daily News.

Thailand is quite a conservative Country and walking the streets showing breasts isn't socially acceptable .

It’s really amazing to see time and time again how the authorities get their panties in a bunch when it comes to ‘ morality’ or some such silly and trivial thing. All that time and effort and energy would be much better spent on catching actual bad guys. But that would mean actually doing their job,  and we all know that ain’t never going to happen.

My wife's mom used to go around the house topless all the time.  Until she passed away about 10 years ago.

Very entreprenurial of her. She found a gimmick to help her outsell her rivals. That shows initiative, something the government definitely doesn't want happening because that leads to their positin in power being questioned so they pull stunts like this to make the list of questions longer.
