Local made, global reach: Boosted by People shakes up digital marketing
What began as a smart social-sharing platform in Thailand is now becoming one of the most exciting innovations in the global MarTech space. Boosted by People (BBP) is changing the digital marketing game, moving the spotlight from traditional ads and big-budget influencers to everyday users with genuine reach. In doing so, it's transforming how brands approach visibility, credibility, and growth. Traditionally, marketing has relied on two core strategies: Paid ads (which many users scroll past without a second thought) Influencer partnerships (often pricey, inconsistent, and occasionally lacking authenticity) BBP introduces a third, and arguably more impactful, model: peer-to-peer social sharing at scale. The process is straightforward, businesses upload their branded content, and it’s then shared by regular users, page owners, local businesses, or influencers who find it relevant. This leads to content that feels more trustworthy, isn’t affected by algorithm shifts, and is distributed naturally across real communities by real people. A new age of influence What sets BBP apart is how it democratises influence. You no longer need a massive following to make an impact, relevance is the new reach. BBP connects brands with the right sharers, from Chiang Mai foodies to Bangkok expats or Phuket gym owners. Picture a sportswear campaign being simultaneously promoted by a Muay Thai trainer, a local fitness enthusiast, and a niche lifestyle page. That’s targeted, amplified reach, without over-reliance on any one channel. It’s affordable, quick to activate, and fully scalable, while letting business keep full creative control. Thailand’s MarTech breakout star Built in Thailand and inspired by its dynamic social culture, BBP is proudly local, but designed to scale globally. As more brands search for authentic, community-first marketing approaches, Boosted by People stands out as a pioneer in this emerging space. If TikTok revolutionised content creation, BBP is revolutionising how that content spreads, through trusted voices in the community rather than ads or algorithms. It’s not just digital marketing. It’s marketing by the people, and Thailand is setting the pace. Visit www.boostedbypeople.com to learn more and get started today. Sponsored -

Accident British Tourist Seriously Injured in Thai Waterfall Fall – Family Appeals for Help
"Are Thai hospitals over charging ?" Without a doubt - some more than others. At a certain hospital in Koh Samui, (which has to remain nameless due to defamation laws) a mate of mine was visiting and overheard a doctor telling a guy he needed "a stitch" in his finger due to a small cut, and the cost was going to be 19,000 baht! The same hospital were going to charge someone "up to 500,000 baht" for a spinal operation when it turned out to be a trapped nerve! -

Louis Theroux: If you were shocked by my film on Israeli settlers in the West Bank, you ...
On the morning of 22 April 2025, the familiar sight of demolition machinery on the outskirts of Tuwani sent a wave of tension through the South Hebron Hills. That day, the bulldozers claimed a family’s home and a nearby water cistern vital for survival in the arid landscape; no structure is safe because of a bureaucratic labyrinth that has been designed to gradually erase Palestinian presence from the land. The process is methodical: Palestinians must obtain planning permission to build anything from houses to water tanks, but such permits are systematically denied in Area C, which comprises 60% of the West Bank; this bind ensures that nearly all Palestinian structures exist under perpetual demolition orders, their destruction a question of when, not if. Israeli Settlers are Erasing the West Bank -
