He is a thief, pure and simple.  He took documents he wasn't suppose to take.  The National Archives asked for them to be returned.  He returned 15 boxes.  Apparently, he kept some.  

All documents going into the WH are entered into a log.  There is then a description of the document kept with the log.  The Archives will have the logs, but the documents are missing.   

 

Nothing more than a common thief.

Can you please share with us all the evidence that the FBI has accummulated in this case. After all, to state so positively that it's politically motivated must mean that you know what all the evidence that's been gathered consists of.

I am indeed neutral on US politics but the way the FBI is going after Trump is clearly politically motivated, it's clear as day. I agree that Trump violated laws relating to Presidential Records, but this may just be the tip of the iceberg.  It's rather small potatoes, compared to all of the other criminal activities he's being accused of.  But this particular violation is clear and concise, easily proven.  I can see AG Garland holding a press conference after Trump is indicted, and going down a long list of alleged crimes.  This crime, of course, would be included.  If he manages to weasel out of most or all of the others, they can certainly nail him on this one.  Good move.

Was Hunter POTUS? Served in some govt position? Didn't know that. Thought he was just a child of POTUS, like jr & eric. He wasn't even a nepotistic 'senior adviser' like ivanka and jared.

 

I do remember jr and eric were running around Dubai and India---at US Taxpayer expense with SS protection---trying to sell name-licensed properties, and jared's sister was selling condos that came with a Green Card. jared also got $1.4 billion in new financing for his 666 Fifth Ave property, just before it was to be foreclosed, by the Govt of Qatar. Shortly thereafter, Qatar was removed from a sanctions list. Coincidence, no doubt.

Manafort reportedly admitted to supplying Kilimnick with documents during the election campaign. There is the possibility that this issue is still alive as well although I think this is about the preservation of presidential records. If it's proven that Manafort cooperated with the Russians it could be a federal offense as well.

The January 6th enquiry is brand new as is this information about the removal of documents. His constant refusal to accept the election result is also relatively new as is the information he tried to manipulate states into 'finding' votes for him. Current 'houndings' are justified as you can't simply ignore what he has done.   

 

Alsxo, you can only bring investigations and the likes to the fore when the evidence is gathered and despite what the Trump fans here will say, no DOJ or FBI are going to take action against a former POTUS without concrete evidence. This takes time.
