POLITICS Trump says FBI raiding his Mar-a-Lago home

He is a thief, pure and simple.  He took documents he wasn't suppose to take.  The National Archives asked for them to be returned.  He returned 15 boxes.  Apparently, he kept some.

All documents going into the WH are entered into a log.  There is then a description of the document kept with the log.  The Archives will have the logs, but the documents are missing.

Nothing more than a common thief.

It's a shame the FBI weren't so thorough when given Hunter Biden's laptop.

Can you please share with us all the evidence that the FBI has accummulated in this case. After all, to state so positively that it's politically motivated must mean that you know what all the evidence that's been gathered consists of.

As you may not be aware, Robert Mueller found grounds for 10 counts of obstruction of justice committed by Trump. But because Justice Dept policy says a President can't be indicted while in office, Mueller suggested other avenues. i.e. impeachment. Barr quashed that by misrepresenting the contents of the report. He was latter castigated by a federal judge for lying about the report.

Look who’s just started running his mouth about the crimes he committed:

I saw that he was accused of a lot of things by the radical left. I thought the US still had due process, innocent until proven guilty? Or have the far left removed this along with freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of thought etc?

I agree people should go to jail irrespective of their politics. Which makes the Hunter Biden debacle even more puzzling.

So on the one hand you think that suspects are innocent until proven guilty. But on the other "I agree people should go to jail irrespective of their politics. Which makes the Hunter Biden debacle even more puzzling."

Confused much?

A lot of assumptions there my friend.????

I am indeed neutral on US politics but the way the FBI is going after Trump is clearly politically motivated, it's clear as day. However, you radical lefties would never admit such a thing since behind all your talk of due process you secretly support it due to your hatred of Trump. Acting as if judges cannot show political bias or be bought ????.

Like I said, people with skin in the game cannot see the wood for the trees, or simply choose to ignore it since it matches/supports their political agenda. It requires a neutral observer like myself to point out the glaringly obvious and even then the Antifa types will shout us down with their usual vitriol. ????

In fact, it's so clear it's invisible. Like the evidence you have presented to support your contention.

As I understand it, to be a radical leftie, among other things you would have to support the government taking over all means of production. Can you please share with us the evidence that those who disagree with your subscribe to this. I am sure you have this evidence because otherwise you would just be indulging in empty name calling.

And as I understand it, the point of being an antifa member is to physically attack people they deem to be fascists.  So, if you have evidence that some members of aseannow.com have engaged in such activity, I think it's your duty to report that to the proper authorities.

If the FBI hadn't been so reluctant to act on the Hunter Biden laptop issue, I may have been more inclined to agree that they are not showing political bias.

Anyway, let's see what they manage to find. They've spun the dice, maybe they'll get lucky.

You have mentioned the Hunter Biden laptop numerous times.

It begins to seem like an obsession.

What is/was on it?

Do you have special knowledge of its contents?

Or is this a case of presumed guilty before any evidence has been presented?

I am neutral because I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat. I do not support Trump nor Biden. It's really not complicated.

Trump has lots of fans who are neo-Nais, white nationalists, etc. I don't think many of them are Democrats or Republicans. Does that make them neutral observers?

I'm not even a fan of Trump (nice deflection though). I thought he had some good policies and some bad policies, and while he could come across as a bit of a loose cannon at times I never really understood the Left's unhinged obsession with him. It was bordeline psychotic at times.

Another case of "I don't like Trump but..." If we were to make a book out of all the instance's of your criticisms of Trump you've posted to aseannow.com, it would consist of a front cover, a back cover and nothing in between.

I wonder if it's about all the gifts from the grifts

Records of foreign gifts given to Trump and Pence in 2020 are missing, State Department says

The Trump White House did not provide information about foreign gifts received in 2020, the State Department said.
The department said it could not compile a complete list of foreign gifts because of the missing data.
The Trump administration has a history of flouting rules about gifts from foreign governments.

Trump may run foul of The Federal Records Act and the Presidential Records Act and the penalties for willfully remove or destroy records maybe subjected to fines or up to 3 years of imprisonment. Individuals with possession or control of records reflecting national defense information who permit their removal, loss, or destruction are subjected to fines or imprisonment of not more than 10 years. Not looking good for Trump and possible jail time besides the other laundry list of Jan 6 crimes that will be coming pretty soon. Justice and democracy are looking good. Trump days are numbered.

I agree that Trump violated laws relating to Presidential Records, but this may just be the tip of the iceberg.  It's rather small potatoes, compared to all of the other criminal activities he's being accused of.  But this particular violation is clear and concise, easily proven.  I can see AG Garland holding a press conference after Trump is indicted, and going down a long list of alleged crimes.  This crime, of course, would be included.  If he manages to weasel out of most or all of the others, they can certainly nail him on this one.  Good move.

Was Hunter POTUS? Served in some govt position? Didn't know that. Thought he was just a child of POTUS, like jr & eric. He wasn't even a nepotistic 'senior adviser' like ivanka and jared.

I do remember jr and eric were running around Dubai and India---at US Taxpayer expense with SS protection---trying to sell name-licensed properties, and jared's sister was selling condos that came with a Green Card. jared also got $1.4 billion in new financing for his 666 Fifth Ave property, just before it was to be foreclosed, by the Govt of Qatar. Shortly thereafter, Qatar was removed from a sanctions list. Coincidence, no doubt.

Oh, and DirFBI Wray was appointed by....45  I guess 45 misjudged Wray, not realizing he believes in US ideals of everyone being equal under the law, and that Wray's loyalty is to the Constitution, not an individual.

Don't like Trump at all but the constant hounding him for the last 4 years is unreasonable.

The government and it's enforcers seem to be out of control

They seem to have their noses constantly in every ones business and increasing their control. manipulating laws, taxes etc....

Jail to the chief!

Yet another case of treason, nothing to do with 1/6 or the voter fraud side-show, but for allowing the Florida branch of the Kremlin Library to operate on his property.  And supplying classified materials.

Or is this less of a threat than those Hillary emails?  :cheesy:

Manafort reportedly admitted to supplying Kilimnick with documents during the election campaign. There is the possibility that this issue is still alive as well although I think this is about the preservation of presidential records. If it's proven that Manafort cooperated with the Russians it could be a federal offense as well.

That pales into insignificance compared to the harassment of Clinton by Ken Starr for much longer than that. I don't think there should be a statute of limitations on presidential crime?

"If I were Donald Trump's lawyer right now, thank God I'm not, I would be advising my client to be telling [their] family, 'I am looking at jail time, and we should make plans accordingly.'"

After House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) threatened Attorney General Merrick Garland, Weissmann said that he should just keep his head down and keep doing his job.

The January 6th enquiry is brand new as is this information about the removal of documents. His constant refusal to accept the election result is also relatively new as is the information he tried to manipulate states into 'finding' votes for him. Current 'houndings' are justified as you can't simply ignore what he has done.

Alsxo, you can only bring investigations and the likes to the fore when the evidence is gathered and despite what the Trump fans here will say, no DOJ or FBI are going to take action against a former POTUS without concrete evidence. This takes time.

Another case of "I don't like Trump but..."

The best part is that this happened immediately after CPAC where Trump garnered 69% of the vote in the straw poll while no other potential GOP candidate was present. This is going to have immediate reverberations through the party.

But I'm sure that, while you didn't like him either, you were out defending him on the internet.
