A 63-year-old New Zealand expat has been arrested in Phuket with 26 guns, 11 grenades, and many bullets.

 

The Region 8 Police told the Phuket Express that they have arrested Mr. Gareth Alan Davies, 63, a New Zealander, at a house in Soi Bae Hua in Kathu district this morning (November 7th).

 

Seized from him inside the house were seven rifles including an AK and M16, 19 handguns, 11 grenades, and many bullets.

One thing for sure, what ever the reason for his collection is that the intention to use so many guns and grenades was op for no good, who knows? maybe a disaster was averted by finding of those weapons...

He was definitely up to no good this guy, and well done to the police for apprehending him before he did god knows what..

If the guy was selling guns etc. on-line, who and how many people are now armed and will the police be following up to remove these probably illegal weapons?

I was wondering how he was able to get the hand grenade do you think somebody in the military sold them to him I am not very confident that the police will fully investigate how the foreigner was able to get all these weapons and no surprise the police finally arrested him I’m sure somebody ratted him out and he’s just a foreigner correct TIT

I just cannot imagine him holding up a gold shop then escaping in a wheelchair.

I guess he bought and sold stuff to add to his income.
