Unbelievably, I cannot find a decent mop in Thailand!

Lot's of cheap rubbish from China, but nothing of real quality. I just want to be able to mop my floor with ease.

Please help with suggestions from online sources, Global House and the like. I know it seems ridiculous, but I need your help in this regard.

Many thanks in advance. ????

Tried Big C?

We have a decent mop. I am not sure where it is from but don't think it is a rare commodity.

Bought a few decent mops from large Tesco Lotus before they changed to Lotus's's's's's's'

They weren't Tesco branded so I'd be surprised if they weren't still there. The best one was red and came in a box with the twirly whirley bucket thing.

I've on many occasions not been able to find all sorts of things in Thailand, but a decent mop.... nah.

The spinning mop bucket things are very popular, mine has lasted 2 years already, from Big C Extra, also try Lazada

Get a maid, like the rest of us.

Yes, but make sure it's a nursemaid, they are the best.

As said the spin mop is very good and if you have the cash high quality units are available from Scotch Brite (but a lot more expensive).

Yea, I'd go with scoth brite

The lazada one looks like it's from China too, the Lazada/Shopee Chinese no name brands have a tendancy to suck

There is an easy solution. Available online and offline per hour, day and long term arrangements.

It depends if you pay for the moves. ????

Have you tried the P̣hrryā-Mop ????.....   was good for a while before it stopped functioning and I had to switch over to the Mæ̀ban-Mop !!!  :giggle:

Not sure what the benefit is, mine was 250 baht, 3 spare mops, Scotch Brite is 1,000 baht, look exactly the same, maybe it's a HISO mop

I have found that a spray mop is good on most floors and very quick … make sure you get one with a swivel head. Normally mix some white vinegar with the water,

Don't you use the wife for the mopping?

Decent mop is easy, try getting a good floor brush. It's witches brush for outside and those useless fan things for indoors

having dogs = lot of dog hairs, so maybe will look into these  ones that have a tendency to suck  ????

When I lived in France, I had a wonderful galvanised steel bucket with a mop wringing thingy across half of the top. I could press the mop really hard to get rid of most of the water. A plastic bucket just can't stand up to it and soon breaks. I've been looking for one here in Pattaya, but so far have been unsuccessful.
