Iceland is the fifth most democratic country in the World, according to the EIU’s Global Democracy Index. The parliamentary democracy in Iceland has always been maintaining and improved civil liberties and political rights.

Happy to see that on a Senator's pay, it is possible to afford a trip to highly costly Iceland (even by western standards of tourism).

Probably as thais are more free abroad than at home

I think a Thai ex pat in Iceland because he has a different view to others in Thai politics asking a Thai tourist eating in his restaurant is taking it  a bit far asking the guest to leave ????

Think she had a few bob before being appointed a senator. 

No sympathy for her, but the restaurant guy seemed to so shrieky and playing to the camera that it seemed like they didn't get what was going on at first. It would have been much better if he'd refused her service and explained exactly why in a calmer manner. But it wouldn't have made such a good video for social media I guess.

Those political views include destroying the democratic process and destroying countless lives because other people have different views. She’s a monster.

I admired her when she was standing up to Thaksin's death squads during his war on drugs but I lost respect when she promoted the import of the fake explosives detector which the British manufacturer later admitted at his trial had no functional components in them.  No action was ever taken against Thai officials, including Pornthip and Prayut, who ordered that junk at vast expense and with large commissions presumably paid by the fraudsters.  Her anti-democracy behaviour and rants as a junta appointed senator were the last straw. Son Nam Naa.
