In Phuket, the body of a foreign male tourist was found brutally stabbed to death inside a hotel room. The decomposing state of the body suggested he had been dead for 2-3 days. Notably, two passports were discovered, identifying him as a dual national of the United States and Costa Rica.

 

On October 30th, police and forensics teams inspected the crime scene at a hotel in the Thalang district. The victim, lying in a pool of blood, had suffered four stab wounds to his neck, reported Thai Rath.

 

Nearby, a bloody knife approximately 25 cm long was found. Nothing appeared stolen, as belongings including a laptop, iPad, two mobile phones, and 6,000 Thai Baht in cash remained untouched. Additionally, substances resembling illegal drugs were uncovered.

 

Hotel management reported that the deceased, identified as Mr. Daniel James Artus Jerez, 35, had been residing at the hotel since August 30th.

 

His behavior changed over time, appearing thinner, more reclusive, and consuming heavy alcohol, indicating potential stress. The last sighting of him was on October 26th.

Well it was not a robbery so would assume a revenge killing 

He has obviously upset some one or people 🙄 

Drugs involved the police should be able to find the source will see in the coming days 🤔

Not in Thailand,, off the police want it’s a suicide 🙂🙂.

As usual,a lot of assumptions and ye t no one knows for real.

Sounds like a hit man visited  if drugs or money involved  they would have taken the money that was left there. I cant see suicide stabbing 4 times to the neck but rip such a waste of a young life

What about that guy a while back who almost cut off his own head with a knife and then neatly layed the knife on his chest, while his wife was out shopping for an hour...Suicide of course..

Who ever murdered him may have hung the "do not disturb" sign on the door after they left.
