The perpetrator, a 60-year-old British citizen, confessed that he actually committed the crime

Gawd, I'd put money on it that he's one of the few angry, hostile AN members we've got here.

Come on mate, are you out there, identify yourself. 🤔

all these little Farang incidents being blown out of proportion

Strange comment.

Are you on medication, you been drinking again?

I'm sure you'd take it on the chin if a crazy foreigner

1. Kicked you from behind while you were enjoying a quiet talk with your friends in a public place, then started yelling at you like a madman.

2. Throws a glass at you and cuts you open.

They really need to kick this old man out of Thailand, as well as the Swiss idiot.  If they don’t, Thai authorities will be sending a terrible message to other misogynistic farang out there, and you will be seeing a lot more of these cases of violence perpetrated against Thai women.  A few more of these incidents going public and I think Thais will have had enough.

Because some people cannot go out without their precious dog.

Additionally these cafes have their own dogs on display where people can play with them. Some specialize in certain and often exotic breeds. A bit like enjoying women’s company from time to time but not wanting one around all the time. 🤣🤣🤣

You are absolutely right, these petty assaults never happen among the Thai population. As the never get reported, and and with a 500 Baht fine and a Wai...

They are just having their focus distracted (where is my 10,000 baht) by the low brow attraction of misogyny. They come and go......

Can the dogs be bar-fined and have drinks bought for them?

Their clientele is largely made up of young women who like dogs, can't own one themselves, and go there with their friends to play with cute doggies. Nothing wrong with that, in fact perhaps it is a rather charming trait!

I will be honest, and admit that for me one of the attractions of living in Thailand is the preponderance of attractive young ladies knocking around, going about their business, many dressed in shorts and tee shirts!

Young women will attract old men who assume that all young women in Thailand are "available" - hence likely the altercation and glass throwing.

Silly old sod, could have probably got a couple of spectacular legovers with 10K if he had gone to the right place in the evening!

I understand lately these foreigners did extremely stupid things, the swiss guy and now another one. My point is us foreigners here should be on their best behavior as I can envision some Thai folks trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill if you get the drift.

Yes. Thai people think of us all as "farangs" . Every grumpy old guy who behaves in this kind of arrogant over entitled way reflects badly on *all* of us.

This is not our country. At best, we're guests. At worst, we're ' economic migrants'.  Sometimes I get the impression that not a few folk on here have forgotten that.

Clearly this is all getting out of hand,  two incidents of female Thais being verbally and physically abused by foreigners living here within a few days of each other.

I expect some robust action from Thai Immigration Police soon and am waiting for a ' Big Joke' press conference,  along with all those shiny plastic boards etc.....

Why just stop at just one deportation?,   I suggest any future incidents 100 random farangs rounded up and sent packing.   Starting with all those 'Phil Mitchell' look a likes, one sees in Pattaya.

Closely followed by the nutjobs who live up in Isan, most of them are on 5 second fuses waiting to go off any minute and annoy or damage our delicate Thai neighbours........

Righto,   back to my Daily Mail.......

I guess my meaning was more inline with Thais trying to make some cash off foreigners who find themselves in uncomfortable situations. I can see instances where the Thais may even try to instigate an event in hopes of a payday.

After reading some of the posts by others, a few prospective candidates have already posted on this thread.

If they are not the guilty party, a few seem to clearly identify with his behaviour.

The perpetrator, a 60-year-old British citizen, confessed that he actually committed the crime. As for the cause, that was because he took anti-inflammatory drugs. Relieve toothache Make your consciousness not be with your body. Therefore, he lost consciousness and could not remember the events of that day.

So his excuse for rude behavior and assault is because he took some anti-inflammatory med??

What a load of  bull 💩

I am reliably informed that this guy used to be a volunteer policeman in Pattaya.
