I think there’s a huge difference between getting caught short whilst driving and openly standing on the beach of a world renowned, high class resort …..they are just taking the ****.

Well yes, but have you seen what comes out of those big pipes near Pattaya beach?

And I'm talking commodes and urinals in a room called a toilet used by both males and females at the same time.

Well there were no commodes there. Why would there be? Urinals were in the the toilets in the US marine bar but as I have said just getting in to have a piss was difficult because of all the girls lined up. Every woman and every man understands that women take more time in the toilet. Not sure why you need to argue the point.

Enlarged prostates do that too... which of course is a very common affliction.

It would be impossible to find a toilet anywhere along Beach Road unless you were close to a shopping mall.

Yes, I have the diabetes and an enlarged prostate. Malls, PTT, coffee shops. Keep the eyes peeled. The car has am empty water bottle for emergencies.

I went on a business trip to India as a young impressionable chap out from London in the 80s.  Stayed at the Taj Mahal in Bombay and went out for a walk near the Gate of India.  After nightfall it was a a complete horror show - people sleeping all over the streets and peeing and pooping wherever they could.  And that was near a 5-stay hotel in the city. Imagine what it was like and still is in the rural areas.

Same in many developed nations well, the US has a public defecation problem for example.

on the other hand, Sydney makes Pattaya's beaches look appealing, Sydney literally has balls of sh!t washing up on its beaches with 9 closed currently.

Sydney invented beach culture,” Gosden says. “It’s Australia’s single cultural invention that’s been properly exported. And all the time, it’s been conducted in diluted sewage.”

in New Zealand you can poop in public as long as no ones watching, unlike the piss buddies in the video 🙂

Well, since you have brought  the subject up, there is a  stark difference in the condition of  LA County (or even the tourist destinations of North Carolina, Virginia, Florida et al)  beaches and those of  Thailand. There is no trash on the US beaches. They have garbage cans regularly spaced and people have been taught not to litter. There are also restrooms on their beaches. My walk on the Hua Hin beach this afternoon was  distinguished by dead fish, horse manure, plastic cups/containers/straws and plastic bottles.  You don't see that in the US beach locations you were mentioning.

Yes, there is a hygiene problem with parts of LA. Most people don't visit skid row so don't have to deal with it. The city does hose the place down with disinfectant. Yes, the vagrants and mentally ill cause a mess in LA and elsewhere however, they are not destroying  public beaches, not even in Venice, CA.  India doesn't clean anything period. It is a nation where people throw their trash over a neighbor's wall and think nothing of it.

And please don't  mention the quality of Thailand's beach water. When is the last time the government released a water quality reading? There is a reason why they won't do it. You need only look at Patong Bay to understand why.

Oh yes, another racist comment,  '3 straws and one drink'. Do you  feel threatened by Indians? Are you afraid they see you as a farang barstool loser?

What in the world are you insinuating? I am a married guy with 2 daughters, living in Isaan. Not many barstools where I am. You seem to be totally deluded.

Thai people are peeing everywhere every day.. I see daily truckdrivers at the roadside peeing "against" their truck, motorcyclists or car drivers peeing at roadsides and even in front of the Big C taxi motorcyclists peeing against pillars of the passover on the road, while the toilet in the Big C is almost as far as the pillar of the overpass.. But when a non Thai pees in the sea it is a shame.... My conclusion is getting more and more that Thailand doesn't want foreigners, only want the money tourists are spending, and articles just as this shows I am right and many more...

I recall inadvertently stepping on human feces at the Delhi railway station. They are not a clean society. If they spent just a bit of their nuclear weapons budget on public hygiene, they might not be so dirty.

They could spend all of that budget and it would still be a sh*****le.

That is not a racist comment. It is an observation of a behaviour which seems to be common among Indian visitors.

Many Thais dislike Indians and view them as rude and dirty.

Hence the outrage at this video of Indians urinating in public.

Hope that clarifies.

Bolsa Chica is now a very nice State Beach/Park.

All that trash before was a sight to behold.

Why was Bolsa Chica called Tin Can Beach?

In the 1950's, the beach below Bolsa Chica became known as Tin Can Beach due to the 300-ton piles of trash that had been improperly discarded of and left there. Campers and squatters lived in the area for months at a time in makeshift shacks and shanties constructed of cardboard, tarpaper, and scrap lumber.
