British tourist busted in Patong for cocaine possession

Featured Replies

Should have bought some weed instead sunshine...

See newstory UK other day how police "protected communities" from the evil green drug by raiding adhoc weed factories...the people they caught were youngish nerds vs organised gangsters.

  • Phuket is full of cocaine, from chalong, rawai, patong, kamala, bang tao. Coke heads and dealers everywhere.. just need to ask a Nigerian , the police can always point you in the right direction. 😉

  • "Police declined to provide details about the arrest." Sounds suspicious. Either they planted the drugs on him as a way to extort him but as he's only 20, he's not likely to have much and therefo

  • doesn't mean it's ok.  I'm from the old school where drugs were a big no no.  Anyone using drugs is still frowned upon and considered low-lifes.    As it should be.  imo Society doesn't need drug

What the hell are you on about? When did I say that I never crossed a line? I have just not tried cocaine, and I feel good about that.

Do you have a problem with that? Is it at all something that you have anything to say about?

I mentioned that in connection with what you quoted. Do you have difficulties understanding? In that case, don´t bother me, but seek professional help.

Flames removed, please stop.

I've never tried Cocaine either...   But I also don't feel the need to pass uneducated sanctimonious judgement against others who have....

Been a few idiotic comments on here. Bloke got busted with some coke. Probably not much and will pay his way out. TIT. As for some on here that think all drug users are addicts and should go straight to jail (you know who you are) it's simply ridiculous. Time to grow up and shed your silly (possibly religious) outdated views.

A thread full of decrepit ol' gits that have no grasp on reality, still living in the 50's  after watching referb madness  propaganda...

You absolute  whoppers.

Even Thai government put cocaine in a class 2, unless you're caught selling  the penalty is a fine... no  Bangkok hilton, which is its all you know from your naïve 50 yrs out of touch opinion.

You must have a serious problem. I suggest you deal with it. What is sanctimonious with me posting that I have never tried and that I am proud of that? Did I post anything negative about people who do try? Is it something wrong to feel good about something? Where did I say that people who try are wrong?

What I did post, was that my opinion is that this guy came to Thailand and f-ked up his life. I also posted my opinion that he deserves what he get, as it´s against the law and he got caught. If you are doing something illegal, you have to be smart about it. This guy wasn´t.

Where is that any sanctimonious curtain twitchers?

No, if you get health issues, the community has to pay. And if you commit crimes under the influence of drugs you will cause troubles for the community. So the state has to protect their citizens and ban drugs as it is described in the thread.

sounds like he was sold it by some dealer working with the cops and then instantly busted.

Only in your mind does it "sound like that", nothing in the report suggests that to be the case.

Yeah because that doesn't happen in your amazing mind ! 🙄

this is such a crock of <deleted>. It is the perpetuation of a decades-old myth.

It is also horrible business, why mess with a punter likely to make several purchases?

Also, any cop doing this is doing it to make money and extort bribes to let people off.

it would certainly never get far enough to reach the media.

Let me clarify, it's not a cop selling it to you, it's civilians that earn their money by working with the cops. I've seen it happen several times on Khao San Road and I've been warned about that specific guy by several people as well. He sells them some weed and 50 meters down the road they get busted by the cops. He approached me once as I was passing by and asked me, if I wanted some.

Probably wouldn’t hurt to get out a bit more and increase your circle of friends.

Not even close to your assumptions.

I had to google this one 🙂 it's true there are exceptions in Thailand Medical Use, Research/Education, Pharmaceutical handling.
Although I guess a 20 year old lad walking down beach road in shorts would struggle to come up with any of these excuses 🙂

It's a legal term. One could have a legitimate reason why one is carrying it with them. Although, it's usually occupational and doesn't apply to average Joe.

OK, so what about smokers costing the community? How about alcohol related health issues ?

'Curtain twitcher'....    like the sort of person who calls the police when someone waters their plants during a hosepipe ban.

With this logic alcohol should be banned by now?

This is what makes me laugh.  Fair enough, cocaine is illegal - as are most other drugs.  How is it then that black guys have the nerve to directly approach you and offer an array of drugs almost right in front of a police box as they do in Sukhumvit?

Not only opposite a police box - the whole area is on camera. It would not be possible without the 'permission' of a certain authority.

Considering the above - which many members here will know is true - how can they charge/convict others for selling/possessing drugs. A case of 'do as I say, not as I do'.

If you read carefully my post (why you can't do it?), I was referring to cocaine only.

"No, if you get health issues, the community has to pay. And if you commit crimes under the influence of drugs you will cause troubles for the community. So the state has to protect their citizens and ban drugs as it is described in the thread."

As you can(?) see, my comment is about community who has to pay for you (as a "druggie"). Not personally meant.

Up to you. I was referring to cocaine
