He had already escaped to Dubailand. Why didn't he stay there?

Why come back knowing he would go to jail?

A slight odour to all of this, possibly a stench!

Protect the family and end the whole mess. They can all just go back to being billionaires with significant influence.

No special treatment yeah right I don't think ever the other inmates have ever got coffee and boiled eggs

It's such a shame he like these type of folks could have made a real difference, if they had just had the for site to have invested his money in the rural thai kids and provide teachers that can teach English instead of putting it in Bank accounts in Dubai, London etc,

They want obedient indoctrinated  working servants, not educated opposition in the future

I bet he gets his eggs peeled and quartered, and first dip in the bath tub.

Once his quarantine concludes, he will be assessed by a committee to evaluate his skills.

Lying, manipulating, bribing, influencing, maybe he can  teach the RTP and take them to new heights

I wonder if he's teaching english in exchange for protection?

Yeah after being given a license to establish a telecoms company (from a very nasty / scaly army general who tried (with 2 other scaly generals) to take over the country. Plus at that time it was the law of the land that all telecommunications had to be controlled / operated by the state.

Plus when an offer to buy his telecoms companies (which has operated as monopolies for many  years was received he / his lawyers quick smart changed several laws so that he could sell and avoid taxation.

The result 'a billionaire'. (Not really a self-made billionaire.)

the only disgrace is being caught

Being rich and live in a prison?

What is it?

Envy him? How's that.

True much of the time unless you piss off the wrong people and or in the spotlight where you have to make a smart decision. He surely will get better treatment than the average prisoner, which is against the law but happens, and he might get out sooner than later, but for now he's behind 4 walls.

Sounds like a new angle they are using to try get him released early.

Too bad he is not in the USA where as a non-violent offender he would be sent to a "white collar crimes" facility such as the one where G. Maxwell has been moved (albeit her not being eligible for such as a convicted sex offerer).

I hope he can teach Montenegrin. A must sought after language in the tourist industry, I am sure.

YOU tell me

Two things spring to mind:

- teach the teacher (first?); his command of English sucks
- will certificates issued by Dr Thaksin University, Klong Prem Central Prison Camp, be accepted when applying for a government job?

Just curious

Not too bad if boiled eggs and coffee are given to all lags for b/fast  !

Thanks, my thought exactly. I bet the other inmates are given watery rice soup with scraps of meat!

Thaksin's mental state remains stable, with no requests for special treatment......

Other than a breakfast of custom boiled Rhode Island Red  eggs and a rare Madagascan coffee brewed only in a cafetiere for four and one half minutes. Humbleness at it's best.......

Good luck.. breakfast 2 boiled eggs and a coffee... Later a big lunch and a very nice dinner... Who think that Thaksin will starve like other prisoners?.

Can't see him using the squat bog infront of the other lags.

These programs let you work off your sentence. Plus any general amnesties which cut time, and poof, things speed up. Unless he gets parole, house arrest or any other negotiated perks. There are several ways for this to cut time.

He will throw big money at the warden and turn a solitary room into his private suite. bet you!

Money buys you allot of <deleted> inside and when you got big money, you buy ALLOT. You can take over and overrule the gangsters which head the rooms.

Maybe Thaksin is seeking God or Buddha. Seriously, I'm impressed with this action from him to teach English to fellow inmates if it's true

Poor English native speakers out there. I feel sorry for you all.

You have to get used to Thenglish, instructed by Ajarn Tony, in addition to putting up with my Swinglish. 😂

Reminds me of meeting a village English teacher years ago. He could also barely speak English.

Know exactly what you mean. First visit to the wife's house and the neighbours came over to say hello. Both teachers. The lady said something to me and I turned to the missus and asked what she said. Wife told me she said she was an English teacher. Didn't understand one word she said.

He has "worldly experience", which he could no doubt pass on to the other inmates! 🙂 Perhaps write a book "How I made my first million"? 🙂
