Wby dont you just admit you dont live in Thailand?   You've got more chance of a holiday in Serbia than presenting a relevent food review for Paattaya Residents.  Wbat a total irrelevance you are to people living in Pattaya.

Taa Saparot maybe stuck outside of Thailand now ?? not sure about this? But he has spent a good portion of the year here for decades...So Kinyara I do believe a apology is in order....

  • You have mentioned this in other posts repeatedly???? I know a good short time hotel.

  • Yesterday, went to Welcome Inn on Darkside for Sunday Roast. Had the mixed meat for 260B. Outstanding value and enjoyable meal, could not fault it. Welcome Inn has A/C and had about 6 or 7 punter

Beer Hubb - Tree town, Soi Buakhao

https://g.page/beerhubb?share

It's right at the front of Tree town, fancy looking round thing. I read they had authentic Indian food so wanted to give it a shot. Good selection of beers too. So, ordered papadom, which is as it is, dipping sauce was spicy and good. Then chicken jalfrezi, the friendly waitress asked if I wanted spicy and I said yes. Couple of butter naans too. Naans came, whoa, big and looks like made on premises. Fluffy and delish. The curry had a lot of spices in it and yes, very, very hot. I was sweating through scalp eating it, tasted excellent. Topped off with a Feral brewing IPA.

Very nicely kept place, menu is large, mostly Indian and British dishes. Prices for Buakhao are a bit high but quality makes up for it. I shall return. Ah yes and there's a rooftop terrace too, which I think makes more sense after sundown.

Well its good your eating there- helping to keep them in business...The only farangs left in Pattaya are hard core expats who don't take kindly to paying so much as 5 baht more for a meal if its cheaper elsewhere.....The Beer Hubs future is not bright in the current environment...

Speak for yourself. I've never eaten in Hungry Hippo, Cheap Charlie's etc. but have eaten in The Hub.

I regularly eat in bake 'n Brew. Not the cheapest but IMO the best in Central Pattaya.

Your post is a grossly misrepresentative view of expats in Pattaya and only leaves me wondering what your agenda is.

Yes I do try to frequent places where the food is good. But one man can only eat so much and my wife cooks pretty well too.

Forgot one more thing: parking is right next to Tree town. It's often a problem in Buakhao, not in this case.

Just a reminder.

This thread is open to all price levels of restaurants.

Expats and tourists here if we ever get them again have diverse budgets.

Even rich people usually like delicious food that happens to be cheap.

Boner appetite.

Yeah, they were originally aiming for the Indian market as they are known to spend so much!

8 year old thread.
Isn't it about time to knock it on the head and archive it?
Naah thought not.

No

It is one of if not the most active thread in the Pattaya section.

It happens to be my favourite topic.

I have had some decent leads from it.

Some of the places just mentioned in the last 3 or 4 days I will likely try.

The regular posters here give good and fair reviews IMO.

No one is being forced to read it.

And The Freelax (French restaurant in alley next to Buffalo Bar) is still going well, after something like 15+ years in Pattaya.

Hi

I have a question about a restaurant bar that has been mentioned here.

beerhub

I noticed a comment that it is above average pricing for soi bukhao

soi bukhao seems to be generally cheaper than much of naklua ( with exceptions).

I have looked at their facebook page but cannot fund any menu or pricing.

Also noticed it sells draught Stella, I wouldn't mind that.

The upstairs terrace looks great.

I have never been of course.

I do not mind paying a bit more if a place appeals.

Could someone who has actually been give examples of drinks and food prices please?

Thank You

If you need to ask the price, you can't afford it. I really like the place but the rooftop terrace has litlle shade during the day. Go in buy yourself a decent pint of draught Stella and look at the menu. The Indian food is best. You won't regret it.

Is that so? I can afford but wont be returning until they introduce realistic drink prices.

Anyway, Indian food reasonably priced and good.

Thai food overpriced and average.

Guinnes a total rip off and a <deleted> pint.

Rooftop terrace nice place to chill.

I can't remember the price of a pint of Stella but it was less than Guiness. As I remember, on par with other places in Pattaya that sell Stella. Decent and a measured pint. Imported draught beer is never cheap in Pattaya. You pays your money, you makes your choice.

Yes, you are correct.

However, I can get good guinness for under 200B nearby, Murphys Law and RHT.

From memory, Stella is 249B a pint, Bottles Leo 89B and SML is 109B a bottle.

Sorry but I regard the first part of your answer to be arrogant.

The receipt provided by hackjam  gave me a fair idea.

Food prices are actually similar to what I sometimes pay, albeit I can buy cheaper.

I might give it a look

Usually you can find photos of menus in Google Maps. This is the case with Beer Hubb too. Click on photos/menu.

Discount Alert!

There has been recent discussion about Marco's Italian restaurant in Jomtien and whether their higher prices are worth it.

Well for an unknown limited amount of time you can test it out yourself for 50 percent off!

For the pizza menu only.

From the Hungry Now food app.

But is there a catch?

You bet there is you miserable cynics.

At half off, all of the pizzas are under 250 baht but 250 baht is their minimum order.

Tricky huh? Yes. Super tricky.

So to get this discount you need to order something from their full priced menu or beat them at their own game and order two pizzas. Which is allowed.
