The new website is hard to read.  It has more blank spaces and uses low contrast colors of pale blue and white.  Go to good old fashioned black and white.   This subdued low contrast color scheme is bad

Not terrible, except for maybe the logo.  I think you'll want to darken some of the colors though, both in the banners and the text. Plus the text is too fine, if that's the word. It needs to be a bit bolder.

yeah, for some reason over the last few years so many websites go this way.  Etrade for example.  The young kids and their managers just think they should change things because they can, even though  they can not cite one single customer that requested the change, nor will they state what manager directed then approved the changes

Totally agree with above posters. It looks kind of shy. Should be bold and proud.

Reading the above its obvious that most of us are not so young and slightly myopic. Yes, darker.

Just had a Notification, but was unable to read who in the legend had posted, as the contrast is indistinct.

 

 

I'm not so young but retain 20/20 vision and still struggling with the new colour scheme / layout.

 

My Irish friend reckons TV has done this to save on ink. ????????

Anyway it needs to be darker print.

Go all black with white font. Much easier to read and requires less energy to power. Saves on electricity costs and battery life.

I actually think this is a great improvement.  The old colour scheme was visually jarring and amateurish.

 

Anyway, particularly hard to read is Monserrat font-weight:400 color:rgb(63, 58, 138) as used for read items on forum index listings.

Big thumbs down. And notifications impossible to read.

Well I am straining my eyes to read it, my new notifications don't show in bold script either.. I thought the forum was running along very smoothly, why mess about with it again......????

Dreadful. Whoever came up with this pitiful idea should be sacked.

Just waiting for the next upgrade where the forum will be limited to half a page of almost illegible posts and the other half a page will be purely adverts in big black bold letters.

Thats a product that not everyone likes, it smells, its banned from certain places. If you go about your day seeing signs like below, doesn't that portray a negative image or sentiment, even if it is on a subliminal level. Durian not welcome here, Durian smells, and by association Thai visa not welcome or smells.

Not capitalising your own name (a proper noun) tends to diminish its importance.

 

Looks just fine to me - and my eyesight isn't the best. Although I think perhaps it depends on what platform/device/settings you're using. I'm using the desktop version on Google Chrome with an Android tablet. The Android app and the mobile version of the website have always looked awful to me.
