Spot the difference!

Obviously wearing masks is not everything. But it often shows the attitude how serious people take this situation. And if even the leaders pretend or even say the virus will just go away then nobody should be surprised about the consequences of doing nothing.

Not everybody is same same in both countries. And all in all I definitely prefer Thailand.

Evidence? No, didn't think so.

it became conjecture at the moment they started to round things up already

there is a difference between what you call "rounding up",
and extrapolation of data what is a defined process, taught in Universities.
I recommend Google for an introduction to the matter.

Plenty of evidence that the death toll in Thailand far surpasses the 58 deaths officially listed. If you seriously think 58 people only died of the virus in Thailand you probably believe the seven dwarves are real.

In fact the entire premise of this thread is totally false.

Thailand was not less affected. Excess death figures show that Thailand lost 8400 people during the pandemic over and above normal deaths. This is in fact perfectly in line with many other countries of similar population size.

So any notion of special cultural, genetic, or other immunity from Thais is fanciful, idiotic garbage.

You're welcome.

Your post is completely bogus again. Thailand has no statistically significant excess deaths this year according to both official Thailand records  and international analysis.

1. Official Thai birth and death statistics from Mahidon University.

2. Summary of above shows no excess deaths in 2020 deaths over 4 years

3. NYT survey of excess deaths showing Thailand as less than zero (none).

(scroll to list below where it says Thailand < 0)

Summary from second link January to June 7:

QSzg3cc.jpg

Not just Thailand but Cambodia , Laos , Vietnam , Myanmar . Heat and high ultra violet sun rays destroy the virus quickly and apparently very potent uv in this area of Asia .

My concern is when we enter the the cooler season as this could be the danger time for this part of the world and I for one think that it would not be a good place to be if the pandemic got a hold here . For sure the farang would be back of the queue for treatment  .

The wearing of face masks has been in Asia for many years under a misconception that it protects from infection and reduces pollution from traffic exhausts but in reality it does nothing . Even now folk are wearing masks to stop infection but the medical type mask offers little if any protection
