Popular Post timendres Posted May 13, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 13, 2021 Amazing. Free to walk around the shopping mall with hundreds of strangers, but have a friend come to watch the game on TV, and you are a criminal. 28 4 5
Popular Post ukrules Posted May 13, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 13, 2021 I heard this is being retroactively applied to foreigners. Is this the case? 1 10
Popular Post ikke1959 Posted May 13, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 13, 2021 And that is also for Thai people??? Because there are more natives in Phuket than foreigners and natives spread more than foreigners.. And of course this is very good for asking people to come for their holiday in Phuket after they are vaccinated.. Sit in your hotelroom can not visit friends, all entertainment venues closed, don't swim in the sea or swimmingpool, and don't drink alcohol... But the expect that tourists will come... Stupidity with no end.. I will never go to Phuket and tell everyone I know not to go to 16 2 1

Popular Post Boomer6969 Posted May 14, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 14, 2021 Now, back in Britain there were very similar restrictions, but at least they were consistent with all the other countrywide measures concerning transport, work, shopping, business, etc. And above all, not only affecting people of a different skin colour. 4 1
Popular Post nausea Posted May 14, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 14, 2021 "Ooer", this isnt in response to an ill-fated raid that went viral. I'm sure. 4 2

As you say, free to go outside and mingle in malls, shopping centres even the crowded markets... but take a friend home... that's banned. 7

Popular Post ronaldo0 Posted May 14, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 14, 2021 Police are going to be busy raiding all them houses now with the snitches calling up !! Wonder if they would raid a place if a foreigner called up saying there were a group of Thai people sitting eating outside a house and they knew only two of them stayed there ???? Would they get dragged down the station and fined a few thousand ! 9

Anti mask, anti social distancing, anti following every rule. As a result Farang countries make up the major of covid deaths by far. Unfortunately the new strain that developed as a result, the B1.1.7 has now made it to Thailand that was largely unaffected by covid previously. Dozens of Thais are dying daily now. And the farangs are still complaining about the restrictions put in place to stop more Thais dying like spoilt children. Now endless complaints they are upset that they can not play with their friends. The rules are not some "anti Farang" measure. They are the same measures that virologists have been pleading for for over a year. If they had of followed the advice of virologists from the start the UK strain would not have developed and we wouldn't be in this mess. People need to grow up and harden up. 2 2 12 3

Sounds a bit anti-anti-farang, not to mention being riddled with holier-than-thou preaching and generalizations. "They"? Who are the "they"? What people "need" is beyond me, unless I am paying their way in life. 7

In the same way that you seemingly make assumptions all Thais follow the rules. Why do you assume all foreigners don't abide by the rules regardless of their feelings and are anti everything? Shows more about your attitude and thoughts than the people you are speaking about to be honest. 10

I will never go to Phuket and tell everyone I know not to go to On youtube a Chinese girl was thinking about going to visit America after the covid pamdemic resides world wide but because of united airlines no longer wants to go as ahe menrioned in her comment and i commented best to check off Thailand too stating the problems here as well. China is a huge market for Thailand but eventually more and more will learn of how Thailand honestly sees them and will chose other countries instead. Heck even this girl was looking at America not Thailand as a place to visit. 1
robblok Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 Bit hard to enforce, they just should set limits to how many people you can have in a condo and how many in a house and be done with it. its bad when you don't know what is allowed and what is not. This way it looks like a real lockdown how are they ever going to attract tourists this way ? I think the rule is over the top. They should just say like max 10 persons in a house / condo (depending on bedrooms ect) 2

The Thai government is using AI computers to analyze the last five years of CC TV camera footage to calculate human traffic into and out of the condos/houses of all farang. Citations and fines will be issued soon. Many experts believe that the Covid Patient Zero for Thailand will be revealed as a dirty farang who had relations with a bat. This individual will be "volunteered" for the upcoming Thai Moon Mission. Mission planners say this is appropriate because one must be bats*it crazy to get in a Thai rocket anyway. I'm personally not worried as I shower once a week whether I need to or not and only buy Lady drinks for the bats. 4
MrJ2U Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 So many different rules its baffles the mind. Does this include guests to your hotel room when they open up, if so that's going to make it even more boring than Phuket already is at the moment.
Agusts Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 Are you guys missing the old governor now ...!? ???? lol. Oh no, wait, that one closed the sea and the beach, we still have that one...,so far ! A lot of comments missing the point, the restrictions and locked down "IS" for getting rid of infections , so everything can be opened and all restrictions removed from 1 July, so big full moon party and raves with no masks back again after that for all "vaccinated" non-infected tourists to come and enjoy among "vaccinated" non-infected locals in Phuket....! But guess what, we will then have some infections after opening and then go to another wave and another lockdown again, and there it continues..., as I said they never learn..., open/close/open/close/etc. etc. etc. , why not just keep a moderate restriction all the time, rather than this yo-yo... 1

I don't know where you come from, but apparantly you don't know so much of the Thai culture and the western culture.. You blame the foreigners too.. but have you ever seen or heard that there is a Thai that followed rules.. A few days a ago all over the news a Thai woman with 2 kids on a bicycle no wearing a mask and she had a big mouth when somebody complained. She was found and had to pay a fine, but the police officer paid for her because she was poor.. Is that fair?? Are parties organized by Thais with many Thais allowed and when you invite a few friends as a foreigner you get problems?? Is that fair? If Thai people treat you as lower class people, how can a foreigner ever respect you? Examples more than enough so I would say .. You do the same now by saying that the foreigners brought the Covid to Thailand, but the British strain cam from Cambodia as they say and the measures Thailand does is far too low compared to other countries. Even they can't make a vaccine plan.. So please inform yourself first or shut your mouth 8

You really must live a sheltered life. Perhaps it's time to take those blinkers off because they must be all the way over your eyes. 11 1
