Saensuk police, along with Chonburi provincial police, led an inspection early this morning on Bangsaen Beach, following multiple warnings over the past two weeks to people to stop gathering in the area, especially to drink alcohol and socialize.

Due to Covid-19 measures, beaches are currently only open for exercise officially. Any size gathering that is for socializing or mingling, especially for a party or around alcohol, is strictly prohibited. Violaters can face strict fines under emergency decree and communicable control act laws for Covid-19 that have stiff fines of up to 100,000 baht and/or up to two years in jail.

The inspection was led by Pol. Col. Surasit Nuengjamnong, commander of the Saensuk police at 2:30 A.M. this morning, May 30th, 2021, on Bangsaen Beach.

As their was no "Foreigners" headline then it has to be assumed they were all Thai. That being so then a Wai and 500 baht fine should see them on their way.

Yes this would seem to be correct given no cries of "you party, you party" from the attending officers!

Not sure as from the pictures they were all drinking Leo which is a sure sign of alternative lifestyles

A few squats or press ups should do it.

Thai people just want to get back to normal , which for most means sitting around in groups eating and drinking a lot and getting increasingly louder as the more drunk they get

Yes narrowmindedness is your forte, but if you read more then its clear they have been arrested so no wai and 500 bt fine.

Police then toured the beach area and arrested over twenty people, mostly teenagers, for various violations including drinking alcohol underage and violating Covid-19 rules against gatherings for social purposes.

Those arrested will face strict previously mentioned emergency decree and communicable disease act legal charges. The parents of those who are juveniles would also be contacted.

The police team first dispersed groups of about twenty to thirty youth skateboarding,

Quite right too. The imported sand will clog the skateboard wheels.

Attention attention. How dare you try to have fun while not bothering anybody on a deserted open beach. We have not finished breaking you to the point of full submission so we must beat you some more until you kowtow cleaning our boots. You lucky you have no foreigners with you or we would have to also charge you with more punishment of partying in company with dirty farang.

I would rather see them on the beach with all the fresh ozone than crammed into someone's room.

Which is where they went after being chucked off the beach.

No they are not

police is actively hunting people just wanting to walk on Pattaya beach

and nobody is allowed to walk on the sand since 2 weeks now

that's imo a pure abuse of power as afaik nothing like that is writed in the last governor's decree

T thought only farangs are breaking the rules as I read last week several times on TV... But now apparently not.. Maybe the other times farangs were invited by the Thai and than the police appeared. Farang bad.. Thai good...
