As there is considerable confusion over where and how foreigners can be vaccinated, and things seem to differ by location, please post your experience here.

Only post if you went to a vaccination site seeking to be vaccinated.

Not posts debating vaccines , discussing politics etc - this thread is purely to compile on-the-ground info on actual vaccination availability.

 

I will periodically summarize the results by province. Hopefully this will help others.

I visited this hospital at 8.15AM 7th June and found the vaccine roll out in full-swing for Thais only. Some looked younger and healthier. I feel I have been removed from the queue not just put to the back of it. Could this info be in a better location? It seems buried here and hard to find.

On 7 June 2021 I had my first shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine at my local government hospital in Mahasarakham Province.

 

It was well organised. The whole process took about 2 hours and there were about 200 people. After the injection I had to wait for 30 minutes and have two blood pressure/blood oxygen tests. They then gave me a 'vaccination booklet' which also had the date of my second shot (27 September 2021).

 

My wife had not registered, but they had spare vaccine and they registered her on the day and she got the shot.

 

I did flag my penicillin allergy on the form which caused an initial delay until a doctor confirmed that it was not an issue for vaccine purposes.

 

My wife and I have hot has any side effects so far (2 hours after the shots).

I went to the Bangrak Vaccination Centre this morning.  Unless you've got Thai citizenship or permanent residency, there's absolutely no point in going. They'll just tell you to register online.  Also, you can't register unless your over 60 or have diabetes, etc. 

There were a fair amount of people there, with a handful of foreigners.

 

Google Maps shows the building in the wrong place. The actual location is here:

If no, Reason not vaccinated: Was told that due to shortages only Thais would be getting their jabs at this stage. I was not given a future appointment date and was told I would be contacted in future by sms message.

100% Vaccination Success at Pattaya Memorial Hospital. I registered May 3 on Mor Prom App (over 60 and with Pink ID card) got an appointment call on Saturday for vaccination today June 7 instead of June 9 , Went to the hospital 7:30 was number 37 in line got in a 8 AM to the first of 6 stations. 1. Registration and blod pressure, 2. Appointment check and printout of registration information, 3. Health screening and blood pressure, 4.Signing of documents,  5. Vaccination with AZ vaccin, 6. Appointment card for second vaccin shot and resting for 30 minutes, Go home. Overall experience , Extremely well organized wonderful proffessionel personell at the hospital, the took really care of everyone. I think I was the only farang there at least between 8-10 am . Now just waiting for jab 2 , 27 of September... I guess I had a lot of luck and wish the same luck to the rest of you...

A very impressive set up at Med Park Hospital Bangkok. 
Not even a hint of ‘Farang cannot’… all smiles, very efficient.

Received AZ vaccine within 5 mins of arrival. Then had to wait 30mins before leaving.

I took a picture of my Mor Prom appt, Yellow book ( No pink card)Hospital clinic book and my hospital number from a previous visit and my passport. The doctor at the front desk said OK. Talking to another local farang it seems he was also cancelled recently by the local health dept but decided to turn up anyway as well and also got vaccinated with AZ. Painless procedure once in the system. 2nd shot 28th September. My advise would be if you have a confirmed appt, turn up. Interestingly they did us in groups of 10, but as someone had taken my spot there were 11 in our group. Good luck!

How did you register? At the registration desk. Registration refused as I was "a foreigner". I was told that there were "no vaccines for foreigners"

If no, Reason not vaccinated: I started the process of registration. Showed them my passport, visa page, and my hospital book for the Diabetic Clinic. These were flipped through by an official with some sort of badge on his jacket who then told the nurse to tell me no, She was embarrassed, he wouldn't speak to me.

Location (name of hospital or other) Chaophaya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital (provincial hospital of Prachinburi) - my appointment was with hospital and hospital arranged the sessions but actually held in a separate government hall. Locations were announced on the hospital Facebook page.

How did you register? Mor Prom App.  I also took the precaution of registering for a patient number at the hospital since I had never been treated there. I don't think that mattered though, everything was based on ID number.

No problems at all and very well organized. I received an SMS confirmation/reminder 2 days before hand. Needed only to show my pink ID card so they could locate me in the computer database of appointments.

 

However due to shortage of vaccines people with appointment dates from tomorrow onward have been postponed.

An effective set up. In a few minutes I had my blood pressure taken, were weighted, registered to see if I were in the appointment list and had a card to bring to the nice nurse who vaccinated me with AZ and then were given the card back with an appointment for october 8. for the 2. jab. Then 30 minutes rest before allowed to go.

 

I saw one other falang also get his jab, all the personnel were friendly and helpful.

Registered on mor prom fo vaccination at Samitivit Sri Racha with pink card on 9th,cancelled due to lack of vaccine,will send new date when they have vaccine.

Also registered yesterday on Thailandintervac,registration accepted.

Just recieved message on mor prom ,to turn up tomorrow between 8 an 12 am for vacination,yipee ,hope it works out

Got my Free  AZ vaccine jab today at my local hospital. No appointment needed. Just walked in Show passport fill out the form, check blood pressure + weight. Waited a while, not long got the jab. Then you have to wait 30 mins to insure no reaction given drinking water or milk. After 30 min wait, called to reception and given an appointment card  with a date for the second jab. No problems didn`t take long. Very simple.

Just to summarize so far -

 

Foreigners report success in being vaccinated, with no issues, in these locations:

 

Bangkok

Chiang Mai

Mahasarrakham

Nakhon PHANOM

Nonthaburi

Pattaya

Prachinburi

Sisaket

Sri Racha

Surin

 

All with AZ.

 

Reports of being turned away ("no foreigners"/"thais first") from:

 

Chiang Rai

Surat Thani

 

also one offline report of this from someone under SS in Bkk

 

Most of those vaccinated so far made appointments through Mor Prom. I think it is early yet to see much results from people who registered through other avenues.

 

There have also been reports from various parts of the country of vaccinations being cancelled (for everyone) or postponed due to lack of vaccine.

 

 

unfortunately people have been posting in multiple forums (mainly news) and only a few here, and it is impossible for us to collate data form multiple places. So this is far from complete but what it does indicate is that there are a few provinces with a "no foreigner/ Thais first" policy but in most locations foreigners have access.

Very professional set up. I had to go on my own as my wife had AZ yesterday and is suffering with a high temperature. A nurse took me around to each station where details etc were taken.   They did ask to speak to my wife who gave them some details over the phone.

 

After the jab they give you a sticker with details of injection etc  and time injected. You are then called after 30 minutes, sticker removed, to be checked and given your 2nd dose date. Mine 30th September

 

CCIT is a hospital I use.   I did supply them on a typed sheet with my drug list, Brief History and my HN number at that hospital

  I got an appointment for the second shot on November 29.
