Anutin denies responsibility for continuing vaccination appointment postponements

Mr. Anutin, who is also deputy prime minister, said today (Sunday) that the Public Health Ministry is responsible for allocating vaccine doses to all provinces, including Bangkok, as instructed by the CCSA, adding that how doses are distributed thereafter rests with each province.

I thought Mr. Anutin had a mathematical formula which dictated how many doses are given to each province dependent on the infection numbers?

Games are being played between the government, CCSA and provincial authorities.

With the population on the losing side.

Anutin is like the bus driver after the accident which kills four, and injures twenty. Claims brake failure and does a runner.

How long can this idiot stay as Health Minister?

As long as Prayut remains as Covid 19 Czar as Pointer by his Cabinet?

That is where ultimate responsibility for covid vaccine manufacture/distribution should be.

If he were a real man, what he would be saying is:

I know, I know, I know. I should have reacted when the outbreak happened back in December, and done the right thing by shutting down that area in Samut.

I know. I should have taken the vaccine thing more seriously. I know, I should have been a more qualified health minister. I know, both Cha Cha and my pathological fear of the optics of a lockdown are causing many more cases than need be. And I know, my boss Prayuth should have been more diligent with the borders,  should have cracked down on corrupt immigration officials, and kept his promise to fight corruption, and we both should have and could have done better.

Do you want me to resign now? I know what is what you are thinking. I probably should. It sure would be the right thing to do. But, I have never really pursued the path of doing the right thing. Not really who I am.

Supply of vaccines is always of problem especially for new programs

whatever the reason one can read between the lines, there is a shortage all around

Without making any excuses, the government is not hording the vaccines.

Whenever available ,they will administered.

Given few more month, the vaccines program will be on track.

The government itself may not be hoarding but you can be sure that somebody in the chain is, possibly for personal gain. No doubt more than adequate supply will come with time but we need efficient roll-out now.

Denying responsibility? While being the Minister of Public Health? In any other country he would be forced to resign.

I would be more worried about the cold chain supply problems for the vaccine in Thailand. I am Fairly certain much of the stuff is useless by the time it reaches the arm of the citizen anyway.

Ice factories are doing the best they can.

He knows where the bodies are buried.  Knowing 'too mutt' in Thailand gets you to the Cabinet Trough.

Well, it's a national trait. Or do you know of ANY Thai person who does NOT deny responsibility for ANYTHING?

And an awful lot of power, if Anutin and his party wish they could probably oust the ptb anytime.

Anutin my favorite. He consistently leaves the rest in his wake.

A+ for consistent crapolo.

Just wait until he is PM, the position he has been groomed for during the past five years.

Gonna be epic.

'It wasn't me. mum. I didn't do it. It was him!'

He can't resign. Who else would want the job currently?

He might skate on this one for would not the Covid Czar be overall responsible for any fxxk ups? He is the Czar after all.

Not ever.

He was never "groomed" for much of anything.

Please say you joking.

First on his list will be compulsory health insurance for Non O extensions.

No worries, and I can help this dire situation.  I won’t clog up the line waiting for any SinoVac shot—ever.

What, like the UK?  Oh....

Too busy looking at his watch.

He's not the 'watchman'. The 'watchman' is now taking care of the endless flooding problems in Pattaya. Anutin's eye is not 100% on the Health Ministry 'ball' because he's been distracted by his appointment as supremo for the Suvarnabhumi Airport Extension. He's obviously having difficulty in allocating his time between counting the brown envelopes from vaccine suppliers and construction company sub contract bidders.

The reason for the cancellations is probably that he's sold a batch of AZ to Taiwan, splitting the proceeds with his boss no doubt, lol.

These people are more concerned that their unifor looks impressive, rather than do so real actions.

Second, many of them are worry, not to get their cut from this huge piece of cake.

The Muppets are starting the blame game and it's only a week into the national vaccination programme.

That's what happens when there are too many uneducated cooks meddling in the recipe.

And the Czar is nowhere to be found.

Yes, why not compare the vaccine program in Thailand with the UK.  Like 'chalk and cheese' aren't they?

As long as he is needed, then out he will go.

Anutin is not fit for purpose. But then are any of the so called members of the government.  They are pond life. I'm alright Jack, got my AZ imported vaccine.  Let the rest of the people eat cake. I'm off to my big mansion to enjoy the good life!
