A well known doctor at a Bangkok Hospital said on her personal Facebook page that she got a call early in the morning telling her to adjust a post.

 

Earlier Namarak Hospital in Bangkapi was one of many hospitals to postpone vaccinations because of lack of stock.

 

A post said to contact the minister of public health (Anutin Charnvirakul) if you have any questions.

 

Dr Yaowanuch Khongdan said she was irritable after getting a call that woke her up. 

 

The person on the other end of the line said take down the post....or else. She said she'd go to the hospital to carry on the good fight regardless. 

 

Spring News showed two screen shots - one with the old post referring to the minister, and one with the new one referring to "responsible government representative".

 

Who was on the other end of the line was not mentioned. 

 

In recent days Anutin - never far from the news - has been quoted as saying that everything is under control.

 

This comes as widespread criticism and lack of confidence in the vaccine rollout in Thailand is being widely reported in the Thai press.

This is quite frankly an outrage, a medical professional being threatened for telling the truth 

 

boy does this place need a clearing out - not much chance when those in power just elect themselves 

 

There really is only one way to change things unfortunately and it isn't pretty and no guarantee of those who eventully replace them in a power grab of not being just as bad or more likely worse

I applaud and have tremendous respect for this female Doctor.

Takes guts to speak out.

Thank goodness we have a democratically elected government otherwise occurences like this would -oh, silly me!

Does this mean they are threatening her with another type of shot? They need to tell their Motorcycle with pillion rider hatchet people to be careful while riding as this is the rainy season and it is dangerous out there on the streets, especially when there is no CC TV working if they have an accident.

The person who contacted this brave lady doctor should be publicly identified and shamed ...............!!!

Disgusting... these doctors are the ones holding everything together in what is fast becoming a nightmare for them.

While Prayut, Anutin and CCSA jointly screw-up everything they get involved with.

Maybe not a good idea to bite the hand that's doing all the work.

Nothing will change. What happened when many thousands of people protested for months and months over the past last year? Nothing. Nothing at all. And it is why Thailand, despite having a few tall glass buildings, will remain a third world country with absolutely no influence in the world in anything at all for the foreseeable future. The country is entirely irrelevant to everyone except those who live there.

Pity the time being spent threatening people is not being productively spent on getting more vaccine.  

when you use Google Translate and you put in the English word "Idiot" - the Thai translation comes out as "Anutin"

Well   it could have been anybody......or nobody. Although she appears to have taken it seriously enough to  edit her post.
