Majority of pax that arrived since 1/Nov are Thais, foreigners that had a need to be in Thailand for various reasons other than tourism. 9

Popular Post Paul Henry Posted November 11, 2021 Popular Post Posted November 11, 2021 Say good bye to all tourist targets. Things MAY get better in 2022 if they cut the red tape to get into the country and open up the night life. Tourists can go on retreat at any monastery they don't have to go to Thailand. 3

Crusader Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 It seems that (in Bangkok) places with the correct licences are open officially...others are risking fines and closure by opening unofficially.

Yes, there are combo restaurant-bars that have been serving alcohol under the new rules. But at least on my soi -- and elsewhere from various reports here -- there are lots of pretty much bar-only places that have reopened and been serving alcohol at least since the start of November. 1

Popular Post Jaxxper Posted November 11, 2021 Popular Post Posted November 11, 2021 If they opt for this option I can see they may have a mass revolt on their hands from the bar and restaurant owners. Haven’t those in the entertainment industry suffered enough ? They need some restart to a sustainable income for themselves and their staff. Keeping them closed is not living with Covid, it’s shying away from it. 4
