Immigration bust foreigners partying in Bangkok amid "Omicron" fears

Daily News reported that immigration and Hua Mark police busted a party being held in a converted shipping container in the Bangkok district of Ramkhamhaeng.

 

The media in their headline as well as immigration on a vinyl board called it a party for "colored" people.

 

It was held at a place known as Nakhon Bar Bangkok.

 

Pol Lt-Gen Phakphumphiphat Sajjaphan of the IB said that a source had told them about the party also attended by Thai women.

 

At 1.45 am they went in and found dozens of patrons in a converted shipping container surrounded by metal plate to keep out light and noise and fool the authorities.

 

Those inside were drinking alcohol and playing pool.

 

The patrons were from countries like Nigeria, Congo and Cameroon. 

 

Some had no passports or no visa stamps.

Da, 41, said she was the manageress of the bar that had been sub-let from the previous owners after their business went bust because of the pandemic.

 

They had been servicing the dark skinned community for the last month. 

 

The bust came amid fears of the spread of the Omicron variant first detected in Africa. 

 

Attendees were variously charged with breaking both immigration and Covid-19 rules.

Whoever is responsible for writing this news is a disgraced to humanity. It’s unfortunate to see a clear and blatant racism and yet people are ok with it. How is this ok “They had been servicing the dark skinned community for the last month” or this “The media in their headline as well as immigration on a vinyl board called it a party for "colored" people”. 
Are they not humans? I bet you couldn’t hide your racist views. I don’t think I have read on this platform about thais been arrested in similar gathering and been referred to as “Party of Yellow or brown people”.  This is just so wrong.

the word “colored” is an old fashion term I remember it in the 50-60s often in written form…my parents and family members grew up on this language b/f and during the war….and yes we know there is only one war during this era…

She replied just call me black was the curt reply .

Erm the bar is ran and owned by a Thai and shouldn’t be open , so maybe more of a headline than skin colour and foreigners ! ????

What shipping container is big enough to hold a Pool Table worth playing on?

And there lays your problem, We are all persons of colour, just various shades. Far easier to say black, white yellow brown etc. It's not racist, just a description of skin tone.....PC Wokeism again.

Thais say things as they are. They are coloured people, they are dark-skinned. And they will also tell you that you are fat if you are fat. It isn't racism. That appears in other forms, such as 'pretties' handing out free samples outside shopping malls and withdrawing their outstretched arm when they see a 'whitey' approaching, as has happened to me several times over the years.

I remember , many years ago I wanted to take the bus from Baltimore to NYC , I entered the bus , there have only been black people in it , no driver yet , I sat down and soon after a 150 kg black woman came over to me and told me that this bus is ' only for black people ' and I better get out ...

This is a form of apartheid or racism , isn't it ?

A party for  'colored people' only seems the same ... but , at the same time I do not have the right to complain about it , as that would be seen as racism , too ... mad world ...

A shipping container with a pool table in it ... some people like it hot and packed , I guess ... unavoidable body contact seems to be attractive to some .
