Popular Post snoop1130 Posted June 28, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 28, 2022 PHOTO: THAI airways Thailand is planning to attract more foreign tourists, especially Chinese, after the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) had granted permission for airlines to operate Thai-China flights. Deputy government spokesperson Traisuree Taisaranakul said Sunday, June 26th, that the CAAC has preliminarily allowed two flights between the countries per week for the first time in several years due to Covid-19 restrictions. Initially, the flights will be limited to business people and students. But, more flights will be available as soon as Beijing gradually reopens more international flights for its general population Traisuree stated. Popular Post Laughing Gravy Posted June 28, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 28, 2022 The number of flights are still limited and the price is unbelievably ridiculous. This is a pipe dream in the short term, like most of the governments/TAT plans are in the last few years. Plus China has prevented renewal and new passports from its citizens so Thailand shouldn't get too excited just yet. 7

Popular Post DFPhuket Posted June 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 29, 2022 Even if they come, upon return to China, "All travelers will quarantine at a government-designated location for a minimum of 14 days upon arrival. While in quarantine, health authorities will test travelers as often as daily for COVID-19 and will not permit travelers to leave their rooms. Those who test positive during this quarantine time will be transferred to a government-designated medical or quarantine facility." Those requirements will put a damper on Chinese who are thinking of coming to Thailand. 4

I have witnessed all of that first-hand... and truthfully, I won't be too sad if those Chinese hordes NOT return anytime soon. Nothing against individual Chinese travelers... but those low-budget group tours are reminiscent of locust swarms afflicting an agricultural area; and are just as destructive. 3 2
