Sattahip, Chonburi – A ‘Mountain B’ customer who was caught in viral footage holding a bottle of liquor and an ice bucket while running for his life from the burning venue was summoned to a police station for questioning on Saturday evening, August 6th.

 

Pongpat Rungroj, 22, told the police that he and his friends were inside the venue when he noticed a fire on the roof in front of the stage.

 

With panic, he grabbed something without thinking and ran for his life out of the venue, only to realize they were a bottle of liquor and an ice bucket.

Not using the ice to help someone on fire, rather adding more to his drink as he watched proceedings? Seriously, like the Apocalypse Now comment, 'like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500'.

I expect that bucket will end up in some high up BIB home bar trophy case or on EBAY. 

He could of saved for months to buy that bottle to celebrate his birthday. What do you grab as you run for your life? He's probably going for a sure thing, a girl he may get something out of but the Hong Thong he for sure can get a good night out of.

Well, of course whiskey is a combustible liquid, however the gnat's p**s they call Hong Thong would probably have been put to better use dousing the flames.

He aint running anywhere, calmest face of all.

Quick thinking. On the same page. Last call. Ida done exactly the same. 

Although this was not his intent apparently,  grabbing ice buckets from tables as you run by, dousing yourself in water before running through a room on fire, is not a bad survival plan in this situation.

Maybe cops wanted to charge him for leaving without paying his bill....

I don't really see an issue here. 

 

He might not have known how serious the fire was going to be if he was sat near the entrance and one of the first to escape. I might have grabbed my beer as well if I thought I was going to be stuck in the car park for half an hour before we were going to be allowed back in. Obviously that's not how things transpired but I doubt he was an expert on burning buildings and was probably quite drunk by 1am.

 

Also, throwing the ice water over your head and then shielding your face with the bucket might have been a decent idea if you're having to run through a burning doorway.

 

I think people are looking for a deflection, someone to point the finger at. Hey everyone, look at the bad guy over there.

He used it as his glass.
