Inflation is the world over, yet the US interest rates because of the Feds increases are also rising. Moving stocks when the markets were looking like it would take hits and then with the energy issues was a win win for many. My oil stocks and energy stocks are up 20% or more in the last year....

He has, reputedly, accumulated a massive war chest ( I trust that is not a euphemism!); now that he is declared to run, and will no doubt claim that all of the several investigations and likely prosecutions are political witch-hunts, he will feel free to use that war chest to fund his lawyers.

 

That of course may be illegal use of campaign funds, but hey - that would also qualify as political witch-hunts.

 

There's also the little matter of the agreement (he signed) to make his Florida palace little more than his holiday cottage. Now it seems to be his political HQ no doubt any attempt to enforce that little matter will become a "political witch-hunt"; "Ron de Sanctimonious" take note!

Trump can't win the presidency with such speeches but he can win the nomination as all he needs for that is 25 to 30 percent of Republican voters. His movement which admits is a movement is a classic political cult of personality. To his cult members it matters little what he says. What matters is that it is him Dear Leader I alone can fix it who says it. But his problem is that his obnoxious inflammatory act has grown very stale  It has little chance of attracting enough new cultists.

No, there is protection for candidates, or would be candidates against prosecution, there are policies regarding not making announcements wrt investigations of candidates within  90days(?) before an election.

 

But Trump announcing his run will not protect him from prosecution.
