Six in 10 Americans don't want Trump to be president again: 2024 poll

Featured Replies

At lunchtime if working from home I go between Fox and CNN. On the 10 minutes I saw on Fox Hannity he was at his whiney worst  - all about how hard done by he is - one story stood out.

He said how South America, and the whole world, are letting people out of jail and insane asylums - his words - to go to the southern border. Mental picture of countries around the world filling ships with the worst of prisoners and the insane and sending them to cross the border.  Then back to whining.

I don't think Trump has a chance, but as much as I like Biden, I hope he makes the decision to pass the baton. There's got to be someone.

Which might mean that 4 out of 10 DO want him to be POTUS again.

No wonder the Dems are trying to get him legally barred from standing again!

You don't understand. He's using Trump based math in which "fewer voters" means a majority.  And the fewer you have, the greater the majority. Provided they're Trump voters. When considered that way, that 38% means Trump has a virtual lock on the Presidency come the next elections.

Trumps treatment by the unbelievers isn't too different to the way the Romans treated Jesus

Definitely. After all, next to Trump, Jesus is probably the most innocent man who ever lived.

Do you refer to all US politicians by their disability?

Do you suggest instead of their names, Governors Greg Abbott and George Wallace and President Franklin Roosevelt should be referenced as "the crippled guys"?

You can use any name that you want, you don't have to ask me whether you should or not, that's entirely up to you

Pretending that:

1) Abortion is not going to be a major issue in the election

2) That Republicans are not at a substantial disadvantage on this issue in every poll -partic in swing states

-Is simple disingenuous bad faith arguing dressed up as obtuseness.

They are like the dog that caught the car. They've used abortion to keep a segment of single issue voters in their column forever.

Now the much larger majority of voters who disagree are going to punish them for that -many of whom are moderate republicans.

We saw it in the midterms with the Dems keeping the senate because of it. With all of the state-level restrictions being attempted, we'll see it much more dramatically in the next election.

Some anti-abortion politicians did win in very red states, but not in purple states. The purple states will decide the election.

Best to check the odds being offered by bookmakers, not the polls. They are giving Trump a 50/50 chance of winning the presidential election if he is nominated by the Republican party.

We can judge the moral quality of people by their choices. Thanks for sharing one of yours with us.

Are you hoping that a person gets killed ?

You're the person who introduced the bizarre Jesus analogy. 2 Baht's comment just shows how ridiculous it is.

It will be a left or right choice, and it's only the left that think the left has the moral high ground.

He needs to take responsibility for his own comments and accepted that he wished death on a person .

   Wasn't me who did that

I don't know why you think making fun of someone's on account of a speech impediment is a left or right choice.  Are you claiming that mocking someone on account of a speech impediment is okay on the right?

Or maybe you need to stop making comments that deserve mockery. I didn't think it was possible to one-up Trump on his "most innocent" claim, but you managed to do it.

Hmmm. Def some uh, neurodivergence at play here in the lack of empathy department. Tread lightly.

Its perfectly acceptable to liken two people together and point out their similarities

It is unacceptable  to wish death on people

Don’t know about that but I do know about the electoral college system were the less populous states have a path to skew the election towards trump that friends is where the perils to our democracy lay oh and (Mac) fortunately there are fates worse than death hopefully ???? you know who shares one of them in payment for damages done and the squandering of the incredible gifts that life gave him

When 11 million of your voters depart from your party registration, you can assume they're more likely to be in the more moderate purple states, rather than deep red states.

Typically, the purple states have more electoral votes than the red states. I predict AZ and GA go blue again. The repubs only hope is a civil war with trans people.

If it's acceptable to be ridiculous so be it. But if you're going  to make ridiculous comments, then expect them to be ridiculed.

Funny that they make this such an anti-Trump headline, when only 4 in 10 approve currently of Biden too ! This is exactly how the current media like to twist things.

Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Kennedy, Americans have their own way of sorting things out! ????Thankfully, I'm not American!

And 70% of republicans are so delusional that they still think he won in 2020 in spite of 60+ court cases and investigation after investigation and recounts galore done mostly by republicans as well as looking at bat shxt crazy conspiracy theories and dead voters and changing voting machine...and after two years still not any creditable evidence of significant voter fraud.  What part of the BIG LIE are they missing?

People who are that dumb and easily led down the rabbit hole by the greatest grifter ever should be banned from voting altogether.  Have some evidence of voter fraud?  Then lay it on the table to be examined...otherwise just go away and try and grow a brain.

Putin was behaving himself? He continued funding the civil in Ukraine..  While Trump for months illegally refused to provide armaments to Ukraine to battle Putin and the separatists.

Did Kim stop developing nuclear weapons while Trump was President?

Despite what history shows us. there are still lots of folks who believe that the USA has the power to control the actions of other nations. And if somehow some adverse event occurs, it's because of some failure on the part of whoever the current President happens to be.

Don has gift wrapped the security of South Korea to Kim with his intention of withdrawing US troops and stopping the annual war games. The relationship between South Korea and US was fragile and weak which played into the hands of Kim. There will be no peace in the Korean peninsula as long as there is no peace treaty.
