Seems to me he is pointing at what caused his brief fall.

Humor not your strong point then.

Bet you get invited to all the good parties. :cheesy:

If Biden and Trump are the best the US has to offer, it's an all time low for American politics.

Sadly that does seem to be the case.

There are younger "rising stars" amongst the Democrats  (AOC? That should get a number foaming at the mouth!) But they are not going to be in the zone for President for a couple of decades, by which time, what is left of the USA will probably resemble the dystopian scenes from the opening footage of "Blade Runner"!

Been listening to a few speeches by JFK recently, the comparison between him and Biden is shocking. The 46th president is really not up to the job is he, can't see him being allowed to run again, they already stopped debates with opponents who want to challenge him. Bobby Kennedy's son is running is he not?

You mean this Bobby Kennedy.....

[Robert F Kennedy Jr says he has ‘conversations with dead people’]

[Robert F Kennedy Jr, the conspiracy theorist and vaccine skeptic challenging Joe Biden for the Democratic presidential nomination, told an interviewer he had “conversations with dead people” every day.]

US President Joe Biden tripped and fell while handing out diplomas at a graduation ceremony for the US Air Force Academy in Colorado on Thursday.

Mr Biden, who is the nation's oldest serving president at 80, was seen being helped up by Air Force officials and walking back to his seat unassisted.

The president had been standing for about an hour and half to shake hands with each of the 921 graduating cadets.

The White House communications director said "he's fine".

"There was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands," Ben LaBolt wrote on Twitter.

pesky sandbag.. highest grade security but hey they missed a sandbag right in the way:)

Obviously he is too old to do this job. There are many videos where he is completely confused. But he doesn't get the message. He wants to be president and the US voters say that he is the best for this job. Unbelievable but true. And then Trump. How many more scandals does he need to create before the US voters start to think?! What a strange country...

Nope, the majority of Democrats wish someone else would run. It's the same damned garbage, we HAVE to vote for him cuz the alternative is so much worse.

what does he need a teleprompter for. Is he mentally unable to speak without one? Looks a proper cognitive mess to me.

C'mon, they all use teleprompters. You should know that by now.

my point was why does Biden need a teleprompter when he says a very basic dozen words if that at a public event. Trump riffed on stage for hours, his monologues were off the top of his head packed with jokes and off the cuff comments- he probably needed some bullet points on a screen to riff around. There is just no comparison whatsoever, although yes the left DID falsely claim without evidence that Trump had dementia although now you would need to be a licenced medical practitioner to make such a statement about biden even though this is the what 3rd or 4th time he fell now?

It is a consistent point of comedians how insanely former 45 goes off track. He, of ALL people, needs a teleprompter to stay even remotely on track.

Fell up the plane - three times.

Fell off his bike.

Fell over on the stage.

If this is truly the best man America has to off, then all the axis of evil must must be laughing at the falling (literally) empire of America.

He isn't running for gymnast.

Also the bike thing deserves context that he rides bikes! How many men his age do?

I'm sure there will be multiple more falls to choose from before the campaign ads are finalized. Even when he doesn't fall he looks like he's about to. He reminds me of one of those walking robot toys from the 80's that never worked properly and kept toppling over every 4 or 5 steps.

But I can certainly agree that having someone so clearly suffering from the effects of old age in such a position is terrible for Democracy. If Biden and Trump are the best the US has to offer, it's an all time low for American politics.

Unfortunately they are. Just look at the alternatives. Like the UK there is a complete dearth of any real political leaders capable of undertaking the fundamental changes needed. Absolutely no-one around of any real calibre whatsoever.

But in the end that is a reflection of the electorate. That's the best they can come up with. It's who THEY are.

Far from the first national political figure to stumble in public. But walking up the stairs with a trail of tissue paper stuck on your feet will be an one-off.

Sarcasm I am guessing.  People trip and fall daily, or even just trip but recover.  As we all get older it does become an issue, but does not indicate we have lost our mental faculties.  Seems he made a good recovery after his minor incident and continued onward finishing out the ceremony.

https://rollcall.com/2023/06/01/biden-falls-at-graduation-but-gets-back-up-and-finishes-ceremony/

After being helped up, Biden pointed at an object on the stage and appeared to indicate he tripped on it. A reporter traveling with Biden sent a dispatch indicated the object was a sandbag. The reporter said the president stood until the ceremony ended a few minutes later.

.......

Biden is not the first senior U.S. official to take a tumble this year, after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell tripped and fell at a fundraising event in Washington, D.C. The Kentucky Republican, 81, missed several weeks of Senate work after suffering a concussion and injuring his ribs.

I didn't see snow in the forecast.
