Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has condemned the attacks by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas on Israel and ordered preparations for a possible evacuation of Thai workers in that country.

“We strongly condemn this attack, which has tragically resulted in loss of innocent lives and injury to civilians. We are extremely concerned for the safety of all foreigners, including Thai nationals. We are in close contact with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and protection of our Thai citizens in Israel, which is of utmost priority,” he said in a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, on late Saturday night.

In his Thai version of the post, Srettha described the attacks as “inhumane”.

Violence leads to more violence , a vicious circle .

I read on AlJazeera that hardly a day passed that Israel did not kill a palestinian ...

Time to make peace by granting the palestinians their independant state .

2 state solution is the only way to stop this senseless violence .

Has he ever mentioned the ongoing murder of civilians in Myanmar? Or does Thailand profit too much from that to country to worry about it.

Indeed. Well said Srettha. Disgraceful attacks.

What does he think of the Israeli occupation of Palestine or the abuse of Palestinians?

Does he care to comment on that?

AJ is owned by Qatar who also funds terrorists, you are hardly likely to get anything but propaganda from them on the middle east, like expecting RT to give the Ukrainian point of view on the Russian invasion.

Neither are true

I think that has been on offer a few times and has been turned down.

Thailand rarely involves itself in this, unless there's wide international concatenation one way or the other. Then they join the chorus.

The exception is in cases where Thai citizens get hurt. This happens only in the instance of Hamas attacks. The West Bank and the Occupation do not figure much in this regard. Could be wrong, but I think there are no Thais working at the West Bank (or maybe not many), so the issue doesn't arise.

Older figures used to cite 20,000 Thais working in Israel. Guess it makes a difference vs. commenting on Ukraine etc.

So, only the Palestinians are committing crimes over there then? All the Israelis are squeaky clean are they? Nuff said Proton.

Read the same on numerous other sites. Are they too pumping out propaganda?

The only one I see here with an agenda is you

Funny that Thailand refused to condemn a far more widespread attack on Ukraine by Russia.

If the Arabs had accepted a reasonable and fair two state solution in 1947 and since, there would be no crimes on either side. Unfortunately their religious hate has prevented them from doing that.

So where would all the Jewish people have lived that have been born, live today?

https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jewish-and-non-jewish-population-of-israel-palestine-1517-present

Year 1947

Jews 630,000 (core population)

Non-Jews 1.324,000

Total Population 1,970,000

% Jewish 32.0%

Roll forward to 2022.

Year 2022

Jews 7,101,400 (core population)

Non-Jews 2,560,000

Total Population 9.662,000

% Jewish 73.5%

In addition

The British mandate for Palestine, which began in 1922, ended prior to Israel’s declaration of independence on May 14, 1948. The Arab states invaded, and following the war, Palestine ceased to exist. The figures for 1948 are for the State of Israel. The figures prior to 1970 do not include the West Bank and East Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, or the Golan Heights, which were occupied by Jordan, Egypt, and Syria, respectively. From 1970, the figures only include citizens of Israel and not Palestinians living in the disputed territories.

*As of September 14, 2023

To me, the last sentence is the telling important one. To me it means that to the Israelis don't even bother to count the Palestinians and treat then as "untermensch", or non people.

From 1970, the figures only include citizens of Israel and not Palestinians living in the disputed territories.

I did the bolding and underlining.

Of course not because it doesn't fit into the universally accepted propaganda that the Palastineans are the bad guys  although Israel is even worse than them. Everything that happens down there these days can directly be laid at the feet of the  Israelis, but then they play the victim and still want repeparatuons from Germany for something that ended almost 80 years ago, which has absolutely nothing to do with the current German population because we weren't even around back then. What Istael does to the Gaza strip is definitely comparable to what Hitler did to them back in the day, minus the gas chambers. The rockets they launch from the Gaza strip are essentially better fireworks that are shot in the general direction of Israel because they're so primitive that they don't even have a guiding system. They land wherever. In retaliation the Israelis send laser guided missiles directly into schools, Kindergartens and hospitals So who's really the bad guy here?

Having said that, attacking innocent civilians doesn't help the Palastineans' cause at all! They absolutely need to rise above that!
