If this minor incident gave this Dr PTSD what will she be like working in a busy A&E dealing with people with horrific crash / violent assault injuries....when there is blood and guts and brain matter all over the place...?

Not a minor incident. How would you react if someone kicked your mother, or wife, or daughter ?

Although she still maybe or was suffering from severe trauma, it’s standard practice for people to lay it on thick for the extra dosh, with some add-ons from the Lawyer.

Do the knives fly out of the patient and stab the doctor in the back when they're not looking?

well the UK would  know  about that , and that;s just London

Violence against doctors, nurses and other hospital workers appears to be rising in London, new data suggests. Met Police figures show that staff in the capital's hospitals have endured almost 1,000 violent offences since the start of April 2022

What a ridiculous woman. She is either after money, or revenge, but one thing's for sure: you don't get PTSD from a minor kick - that's just BS. While it's understandable she wants the guy to be punished, giving him a harsher sentence than a Thai would have been given for the same crime is discrimination and sends the exact opposite message Thailand should be sending: that foreigners aren't equal under the law. We all know this is true to some degree, but the guy shouldn't rot in jail for years over a minor incident that a Thai would've gotten out of with 500 baht and a wai.

The guy might be an <deleted>, but this affects all of us. Every time this ***** is on TV it creates more hostility towards ALL foreigners. It's ironic that she lives in Phuket - one of the richest provinces in Thailand thanks to the foreigners she seems to hate so much. During Covid the place was a wasteland without the tourists.

Shouldn't have sat on the steps 😉

Would any person sitting on those steps reasonably believe there was a likelihood they would be kicked or pushed from behind?

Something that Thais are highly skilled at is making a mountain out of a molehill. The slightest thing can be blown up out of all proportion. Such as the reaction and demonstration by hundreds over someone hitting someone in the back (a reaction generated only because he was a foreigner. It would have been entirely different if he was Thai). The arrogant Swiss was at fault, but you say "Oi" and move on. If you put it out on social media then don't complain at the attention that you have generated causes you.

Just to clarify , seeing dead people, people with all kinds of injuries   Heads cut off and anything else possible  she is ok, but because she was told to FO , she has ptsd😂

Did she seek any medical treatment after the imaginary kick?

any pics of injury?

Is she getting treatment for ptsd? Or self diagnosed again ?😂

she is worried he will get off lightly ? He already had visa cancelled , not enough ?

if it was a Thai, would have been fined 500 baht and case closed

Why do this lady dr provoke so many in here?

Media always manage to make controversial articles and lawyers make clients make ridiculous statements.

A nice and decent thai lady from a good background is not accustomed to get physically assaulted, with no warning and for no good reason, by lowlife thrash like that swiss pos. Not surprised she has some kind of reaction after, also given all the stir this all caused.

On the other hand if she is a doctor (of medicine) then she should know what to do or at least who talk to. I admit that there should some reaction to the incident but to claim PTSD is a bit over the top. Don't like to think how she would something really disturbing.

The whole thing is a bit of a farce, but she, or her minders,  is clever she comes up with PTSD as she hasn't anything tangible to show as damage. In most situations anywhere in the world this case wouldn't be worth a mention. It is blown out of proportion, or even set up,  by some people who have an anti westerners agenda.

Plus all the public attention can take it's toll on someone who usually has a quiet life in the background

This is clearly being manipulated for jingoistic affect. Should have been a non-story weeks ago.
Some political agitprop going on making her stressed.  I call BS. Merde de Toro.

So many disgruntled expats in here, indulging in victim-blaming and thai-bashing on a daily basis, trying to get some relief from their own 'ptsd' from living in a country where they feel estranged, misunderstood and miserable..

Hello

The swiss guy was wrong.. there is no excuse about kicking anyone (man or woman) for no reason (even if you have a reason to react, no violence should be accepted).. This guy has obviously anger management issues and surely thought he could do anything without facing backlash..

Then, the social media bashing leading to foreigners bashing all over the place and for weeks is also totally out of control..

OK she was kicked ... the guy deserves a punishment..

But on the other hand did this have any physical consequence ? the answer is no apart maybe from a few bruises..

Apparently this girl went abroad to study medicine and in this case she surely is not the basic daddy s girl unable to stand any issue.. The best proof is that she did not hesitate to go to complain to the guard, call the police and then organize with her family the social media drama..

If being a doctor she is unable to stand any stress, I wonder how she will be able to act in her job.. Post traumatic stress just for being kicked in the back.. according to me, it is a joke.. Hopefully the court will be able to take into account the real damage she suffered without accepting the overreaction and drama

Actually, as it turned out, she was sitting on public property. The owner of the house had encroached on the beach building the steps there. Those steps were then demolished. So legally, as a Thai citizen, she was sitting on her property and got kicked by the Swiss man...

But that, she did to herself. She could have filed a claim at the police station and gone home quietly..

But she could not have known that at the time.
