Gave McMafia a try but not gritty enough for my tastes, and none of the Russian characters came off as believable.

same for me with dark wolf

Should start dropping tonight/tomorrow.

When the path of free-spirited drug smuggler Max collides with JJ, an enigmatic outsider on the run, an unlikely friendship is formed.

They’re swept into a chaotic, high-stakes mission they never signed up for— trafficking highly enriched uranium across North Africa and the Middle East, with the CIA, MI6, and a global web of opposing forces closing in fast.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf

Prequel series to The Terminal List (2022) following Ben Edwards' journey from Navy SEAL to CIA operative.

Navy SEAL Ben Edwards finds himself entangled in the black operations side of the CIA. The deeper Ben goes into the ‘gray’, the harder it will become to not give himself over to his darker impulses. Every man has two wolves inside him – light and dark – fighting for control. Which wolf will Ben Edwards feed?

First 3 episodes have dropped.

Thanks for the heads-up @gargamon. I'll look out for that.

I tried countdown .. lasted 5 mins and left with a headache.

I noticed the return of the usual suspects before Xmas - Slow horses, Gen V, Brassic, Fallout, and Landman

Is anyone watching Fauda on Netflix.

The level of hate based on history and Religion seems to be written knowing in advance what is playing out now.

Think it was made in about 2022/23

Fauda 2015 with Lior Raz, Itzik Cohen, Netta Garti

I have watched all the seasons some of them twice, great series, only one season was a bit lame, cant remember which one it was though, maybe series 4  2023 one.

Just checked what Calibre is - thank you.

Z-Library is the premier book source, if you don't mind reading on screens. Here's how to access: https://www.reddit.com/r/zlibrary/wiki/index/access/. Guests get 5 free books per 24 hours but you should sign up to get 10 books. I've even sent them money.

Z is like TPB. No matter how hard the Feds try to squash them, they stick around. Anna's Archive is also a reliable source for books.

Fans of The Blacklist and even those who found it schmaltzy & predictable, still still watch James Spader's 2002 The Secretary. Great fun!

There is a show I want to watch but can't get to it.

"Dickens in America" BBC 2005 documentary series.

This happens sometimes but usually there is a way.

For this a dead end. Any clues?

The only screen I read on these days is my 65 inch TV. Android app fbreader on is a great interface to read needing only a click of the remote to change pages. And it's much easier on the eyes than focusing on a screen inches from your face.

After her 16-year-old granddaughter Verónica and her friend Mandy disappear, Isabel starts an unsanctioned investigation to uncover the truth behind their vanishing, embarking on a journey of vengeance.

Needed a few laughs to brighten up my late evenings so downloaded a few episodes of "Fawlty Towers" but found that I didn't think them funny anymore, although only found them mildy amusing back in the day!!

Now for me they are too manic/frantic and not funny!!!

However the funniest series for me is "The Thin Blue Line" and I have watched the episodes many times over AND still laugh at them....IMO another series would be excellent!!

Steptoe and Son is one I just find pathetic now, not in the least bit funny.

Here's a quote from  the Gen Z team that  breathlessly introduce the  long list of can't-missable flicks for those whose intellectual age reaches scarcely beyond 19:

Even more mouthwateringly, this knotty neo-noir has been created by Native American film-maker Sterlin Harjo, the prodigiously talented co-creator of trailblazing teen-com Reservation Dogs.

Julie disappeared in 1990 and her body was found 80 days later.

The killer was acquitted twice due to mistrials but later admitted to the murder. The archaic double jeopardy law prevented a retrial until ensuring justice for Julie.

Always wondered what they were like, seeing I like the US version Sanford & Son, which are funny, from the 70's.

I just watched The Eternaut. What a disjointed, inconclusive series. Nothing is ever explained or reaches a conclusion. Even the ending. It wasn't a cliff-hanger portending a new season, it just drifted away. Don't bother.

BTW, I hope everybody is watching in original languages with subtitles. Much more satisfying because you can feel the expressions and nuance, the tension.

The Thursday Murder Club - awesome cast easy to watch fun movie.

I liked that show, it was kind of quirky - I have never been to Argentina, but I like their style, El marginal, the bronze garden, are other Argentinian productions. I didn’t really see the need to get any answers, bugs from space, body snatchers, etc. It’s continuing, so maybe things will become clearer in the future.

Yeah, will appeal to those who liked Agatha Christie/Poirot type series.

An excellent cast though, so many familiar faces, seemed like a Comic Relief sketch at times.

Yep, the cast is fantastic....Helen Mirren is such a great actress, but so many of the RSC performers are.

I'll have a butchers later.
