Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
How will they know your remitted funds are not assessable, or covered by a DTA? What if you have to produce a certificate of clearance at extension time? You would need to file, and pay zero tax, in order to get the certificate to clear with the TRD that your funds are not taxable in Thailand. -

Car Fire in Vibhavadi Rangsit Soi 5 Leaves Two Vehicles Damaged
Or a cigarette flicked out a front window and being sucked back into the rear, lodging in the seat. Used to happed frequently in the days prior to air-con. Not very frequent now but during this cool spell, I've been driving with all windows down. Not likely but possible. -

Looking for a private investigator in Pattaya
We had very bad experience with private investigator back in 2014: an old Aussie fart was copying and selling designs that didn't belong to him. After phone conversation he disappeared from BKK, police was useless so we private eye might help. At 5K/day ++ we only got province, city and local market he visited few times. No address, no photos, no contacts. Turn out he (investigator) didn't even speak thai. just tinglish. -

Do you remember your first car?
I bought a 1973 XB Ford Fairmont, exactly as pictured. Cheap plastics manufactured in Broadmeadows kept falling off. The engine was OK, but the radiator was under-designed for a 4.0 litre straight six. It did not like mountain climbing. Four on the floor. As it aged, the steering got more and more vague, with about three inches of free play. Its major design flaw was the drain scuttle under the windscreen wipers, which only had one drain outlet. As a result. water pooling at the other end of the scuttle inevitably caused the steel to corrode, as it was only protected by a cathodic E-coat. Any time it rained, the plush floor carpet got soaked, and rotted. I eventually gave up trying to keep it dry, and retired it to a friend's property west of Euabalong as a hunting vehicle. It was still going strong with its oversquare motor when he sold the property, and I gave it to a kid from one of the neighboring stations. -

Nothing he says about US Social Security supports your assertions.
