Thailand Digital Arrival Card. TDAC

I have looked into completing the new arrival-form, but it does not currently allow me to give my country-of-residence as being in Thailand, how should I complete the entry-form in this case ?  Of course I don't want to give an incorrect address/country-of-residence, to you.

Do what Ralf001 suggests and tell lies, say you live in Tibet or Montenegro, anywhere but Thailand.

What are you on about. Country of Residence is where you live, in my case Thailand. Earlier in the application you already put your Nationality and Passport number.

In your case you should give the name of the country that issued your passport as your country of residence.

Even if you have broken all ties with your nationality country and have resided here for over 20 years, with a Thai ID card, yellow house book etc.

I did read in another thread that the developers of the App will be adding Thailand before the App goes live. We'll see!

Rule 2: Check your stamp before leaving the desk area, we all make mistakes, even immigration officers.

Rule 3: Keep hand away from mouth, wash hands asap after the disgusting fingerprint reader. Gag me with a soup spoon, yuck.

You wonder how many cases of arrival Bangkok belly come from those readers. The very thought.

I see that one section that you must complete is the date and flight number of your next departure after you have entered Thailand. This has a red asterix >> you MUST complete this information or you can't submit your completed application.

So I have a 'retirement' visa and do not need to exit Thailand.  I must put a flight number for my next departure from Thailand...... Ho hum, what to enter?

Questions, questions...

One way flight, country of residence...

I bet that there will be a veritable chaos at immigration on May 1st and following.

Be aware that the TDAC is already worked in at TIMATIC (the airlines information system).

So be prepared to show it at check-in (maybe).

Enter a bogus date and flight number next year............TDAC obviously is not geared for long stayers............. when you enter your re-entry number in the 'visa' section they will figure it out.....

Not correct.  Only if you enter a date and add a mode of travel do the asterisks appear.  Leave it blank and you can pass on by.

But the bit about country of residence comes before this flight data.

I was answering the question about departure details, not related to residence.

So what happens if I don't have internet access, nor a modern phone? Does that mean I can't come to Thailand?

I go to a travel agent, or go to the company office or go the departure point like the bus station, and book, they print the ticket for me. I am do not access the form, I don't use internet, too expensive, and other issues.

The unwilling and incapable will be assisted on arrival. Hopefully the queue won't be too long for you.

Rather amusing they post on the internet they do not use the internet so cannot fill out the TDAC on the internet.

I will say it again, Thailand is not our place of residence, i.e. unless we are the holders of a Permanent Resident Visa or have Thailand Citizenship and the holder of a Thai Passport, which would be few and far between.

Why are PR holders exempt from filling in a TDAC, they are not citizens.

Your country of residence when travelling is ALWAYS your country of birth.

I tried filling in the form, putting UK as my Nationality and Passport, but Spain as my country of Residence. It worked.

When you select the mode of travel the options change for mode of transport.  Bit odd really, hard to imagine the value of some of this information.

Forgive me if this has already been answered. Can one simply show the approval on one's smartphone or does it need to be printed out?

I have elite visa, and I am traveling every month. Looks like I need to register TDAC every time.

What is Mode of Travel - Air/Land/Sea

and Mode of Transport - Aircraft/Car/Boat

Is it my the Permisdion to say number or the reentry permit number. On the old TM6 form it was the reentry permit number. Years ago when first moved here I put the permis ion to say (non o) renew number and io told me it needs to be the rentry permit number. But on TDAC it called visa number?

I do not have a mobile-phone or smart-phone, how should I try to comply with the new entry-system ?

Guessing you are over 80. Beg a friend or relative to borrow their gear,  hotel business lounge , or at an internet shop or printing store?

I do also have a computer-printer, it is located at my residence here in Thailand, so I cannot access it (to print a copy of the QR-code) until after I have arrived, and been let back into Thailand.

Print shop again? Emailing to hotel front desk staff usually happy to print something simple like this. My experience with Singapore is Border Force scan your passport and everything normal, no need to show or reference the code.

Maybe they did not think this TDAC as well as they could have, or what is the  definition of resident?

180 days? Work permit? One year extension?

More and more countries rolling out these kinds of required processes get used to it or don't travel internationally my advice.

No.
