Preferably locally here in Chiang Mai but will consider Lazada.

Omron seems to be the one available in most retail shops (Maya)

Is there a medical supply store in town?

Any advice would be appreciated.

  • I bought mine from a Boots Chemist shop for abour 1800 baht: name of it is "Microlife" and it's been fine for about 3 years now. Operates on batteries or the small transformer which comes with it.

Any old thing on Lazada. Don't get anything fancy.

Mine is still working after some years.

I bought one from Fascino years ago. I made a trip to the dentist in March and compared results with their machine, it's still spot on. I use it daily. It doesn't have a brand name on it but Fascino carries good machines.

Is it possible to post a picture of the unit? I’m thinking of making the journey to Fascino on Suthep Road this week.

Omron is a great brand; found them at Fascino and even Lotus's in Hua Hin.

Bought mine on Lazada, same as pic, 759bt.Seems to do its job.Certainly a good indicator.

From memory, OMRON has a shop in Chiangmai-Lamphun Roaud, Plaza 89.

Cheers

Bought mine on Lazada for 150 baht delivered. It works as well as the Omron I had in the US that cost over 2000 baht.

Dara Pharmacy is near Fascino and may be a cheaper option in Chiang Mai.

Not true. Just got a refund from Lazada because the Omron I bought was a fake and gave false readings.

Does it have the Omron black sticker on the bottom? If not it's a fake, same as the one I just returned and got a refund for.

A and D Medical, model no. UA-651, designed in Japan, made in China, has worked well for me for several years.

Sinocare   900bt from the first pharmacy I came to      seems to work fine  and keeps a record of readings for up to 2 users  usb  or battery powered and english instructions

for those worried about calibration or accuracy   why not buy two and compare readings regularly  it won't break the bank

Chiang Mai University Pharmacy has a selection including Omron.

You can get a discount if you have a partner or friend who is a member ( current or ex University Graduate).

I got mine in Lotus…….been using it for 5or 6 years still very accurate.   Have both the Home Army cuff and the wrist models

I have used my Omron battery operated, arm only device. enter info to the iPhone app to show the Cardiologist on my 6 month check ups.

Well, if mine's a fake, it's a very good one. As I posted, I've used it for years, recently compared it to a hospital's machine during a visit, they were both very close.

I mentioned in another thread the one I use at home (daily) gives the same reading as the one at the hospital (every 6 weeks) .... was told that means nothing and that my home machined is un-calibrated piece of <deleted>.

Why dont you just buy one of those 1000? Tbht  watches that tell you everything including your blood pressure and your mother in laws maiden name and how many fleas on your dog?🤪

I'm only joking friends, but the Chinese makers are serious liars.

My B.P. machine is A & D Japan and spot on with the more professional machines. Only  after some 8 years a leak developed in the tube connectors inside that needed some silicone sealant and continues on faultless.

Are you aware of the amazing cardio trace monitors? that show basic beautiful sinus rhythm traces and  held with one hand pressing against heart/chest?    Leads are  available for extra measuring. Probably among the most economical is       Heal Force. Model Prince 180B.        About $130 Au

Also how about the oxygen level meters?  "Pulse Oximeters". Clips on to finger. As good as the hospitals use.

So with a B.P. machine, a heart trace monitor and an Oximeter what more could you want?😀

I bought an Omron mini 6677 in May 2025 via Lazada for 923 baht delivered to the house to replace the Microlife I had before, that lasted about 5 years. It came compete with a large pressure cuff, a mains charger and a cloth carrying bag.

The results are similar ri the Microlife that I had before.

And keep in mind that the readings are affected by your recent actvities / experiences, if you have been upset by a famiy (or other) incident it will affect your blood pressure for a period of time.

If you've just had a serious shouting argument with your wife / husband, wait an hour before taking your blood pressure.

Also the user should be careful to have their arm in the correct position to gain an accurate reading, and same position every time the machine is used.

Too much fuss. Just buy an Omron on Lazada, if you want to calibrate, you can get your BP checked for free in hospitals and other places.

I bought one from the pharmacies in the hospital were I was treated on recommendation from my cardiologist. and after buying it I confirmed it's reading with the hospital own machines and it was well in range.

Brand is Omron
