Actually - as of this time - forum is running like it should (after being really bad yesterday).  So hope it continues - for us using it and those working on it.

It worked, but now I get these messages (again) I am sorry to say..

You may get that occasionally today since they are still working  on the site after the work done last night.

Irritating that bookmarks have to be redone, but probably not something that ThaiV envisaged happening.

They should work after the work is completed is what I have been told in a reply to a post I did in the mod/admin private forum.

And seemingly no announcement beforehand of the change.

Why would an announcement be needed. It is a function of the forum software that generates the links.

Because people bookmark specific pages and forums.  Personally I have a couple of dozen links that are now broken.

Had there been an announcement I would have expected the change and would be face with the thought "what has TV <ducked> up now?".

And an announcement could have explained the new link format, making it easier to change the bookmarked links, perhaps in advance.

As it is, any goodwill I may feel towards TV has just gone down another notch.

Under my content some participated threads are missing . Only checked the website, normally all threads can be seen on my android app .

Would be good if getting picture uploads back could be a priority.

Have pics that relate to today i want to put up.

On a lighter note the Tips and Tricks had 27 posts for 8 years of TV running,

Slightly off topic but I just recently discovered the calculator on Windows 10 can do currency conversions using real time exchange rates:-

I like that

You are talking about a smartphone with the Windows 10 operating system, I presume.

Works for me on my laptop (10 Home version) too.

Start-> Calculator-> Go to the upper lefthand corner and `click` on the bars and look for currency in the  menu which becomes visible.

To go back ontopic: ThaiVisa seems to be doing better. Have not had any 500 whatever messages lately or other stuff which puts me in a hold or some other annoying pattern.

Already known is that some of the avatars are not visible, and that some topics commented in dissapear from the "content I have posted in" stream/page.

Keep up the good work TD.

Windows 10 on my computer has it. Not sure about the rate it shows.

I don't do windoz or pounds. The added a platform for phones and

tablets, they had the currency exchange rates for over 12 yrs that

I've been on TV.

I don't tweet, fb, g+, digg, line of any of the adds on's, I would just like

an active link like in the past.

Did TV get hacked?? Or are these's some of the new add's??

The add was on pg.11 of this thread: "Saudi Arabia says Lebanon declares war, deepening crisis
By webfact, November 7 in World News"

Here's a censored pic of the add.

I manually delete all site info & cookies from the last site I was on

before I logged onto TV. I do this every time I change sites.

Running the latest Mac OS and don't do flakey sites.

I always get adds(1-2) on pages, but not like this one, I usually don't

see them, I just tab through to the next post.

That particular ad position seems to be reserved by the site for Google Ads / DoubleClick, who don't normally show anything risque, and are currently showing ads from ThaiVisa (at least they are on my PC).

As the example ad you posted has a "Show original ads | ?" option, I would surmise there is something running on your system that is doing ad swaps. It wouldn't be the first time a browser add-in went rogue for money.

At the beginning of the month, a Chrome plug-in/extension developer who wrote "Web Developer for Chrome" had their account hijacked, their files infected, and updates sent out to their potentially million of their user base.

Can I suggest that any new threads appearing on the homepage are automatically prefixed in BOLD showing where (what board) the thread has actually been posted? All to often irrelevant posts appear that probably wouldn't if posters realized the question had been region specific rather than free-for-all?

This would also reduce the likelihood of inappropriate comments being posted in sensitive topics or the reverse re the likes of 'ferang pub' or 'in your face' which are often taken seriously because posters haven't checked beforehand.

Just my 2p

Those pop up adds are soooo annoying. Why doesn't someone at least do something about the ones which are now popping up right on top of the top menu rendering it almost impossible to use.

Looking at TV with light rain falling thinking it would be great if the coming soon sign was changed every now and then on the weather page.

Oh, sorry. That's a translation error. It's meant to say different weather is coming soon.

I fully understand that this website is a commercial venture but can you please consider introducing some sort of filter that enables posters that are in or near the Mensa bracket to bypass much of the nonsense that you (staff or associates under assumed identities) routinely propel towards the remainder?

click-bait.jpg

This is a serious question asked in good faith. The ability for members to steer clear of the above could be earned or perhaps even paid for and might stem the hemorrhage of regular posters of several years standing towards the likes of FB, Twitter etc.

Happy New Year
