Canadian woman arrested for spray painting wall in Chiang Mai released on bail

If what she says is true, she got drunk and then managed to find a store selling spray paint.  I am guessing one for herself and one for her friend.  If she was sober enough to hunt for the paint, she was sober enough to know it was wrong, using her own country's standards of right and wrong behavior.

Yep, that's why my town looks like a ghost town now and my friends moved away to find work. Ms Notley is a real special treat. And a safe environment for LGB....'ers like the graffiti artist.  Wow yes that's just the sort of thing what we were hoping for. Thank you NDP.  Is there any other SH__hole ideas coming up in regards to our interests. Maybe we could all get cancer.

Notley didn't put in place a system where control of the province's primary resource was held by a single foreign customer. That was a long line of Alberta Tory governments and Harper. P.E.T. setup PetroCan to be our Stat Oil. Too bad Tories dismantled it because now Norway has a $1t sovereign wealth fund and Alberta gets $30c bbl selling to their Yank masters. On the other hand  you guys can be proud of all those mega mansions you helped build in Houston. Oh, you should be happy to know Young Justin is higher in the polls than when he was elected. To tie this into the OP let's hope the accused can get back home in time to vote for the Alberta NDP!

This is really not the thread for this, so this is my last response about the tragic tale of Alberta in the hands of socialists. She screwed up everything and you think its cake. This is why we should have separated years ago.

why is she released? Just as guilty as the other one, should be jailed and made to clean up any graffiti in Thailand, those people need to be taught a lesson and not be let off easy for any stupid excuse, they are a liability for any country

She's out on bail, perhaps her mate hasn't raised the bail money.

Why does He/She have a ''POLO'' in each ear?

The original ad-line was: Polo - the mint with the hole

Maybe now it should be: Polo - the bint with the hole in her brain

Or is he seen as a flight risk, seeing as he can string together more than one letter?

She's not so much a flight risk, more of a penguin - a flightless bird.

When the obese person from Alberta returns to her province, she can swear off beer and instead smoke as much dope as her purse can handle for the rest of her Canadian life.

Is she obese? Have I missed something? All I saw was two guys in the photo.

Their passports would be held by the police.

Whoever sold them the paint, which it seems like, they've never been mentioned by the police, you reckon they're keeping that info from the police, or they did actually find or steal the spray?

These grafitti people are unwanted in every country in the world.

I cannot figure out what makes them tick.

"Kilroy was here"?

But total idiots, and the universal excuse for bad/violent/anti social behaviour - "I was drunk" or "I was on drugs" and "didn't know what I was doing, but I'm sorry and it won't happen again"!

A Canadian who was arrested in northern Thailand for spraying paint on an ancient wall says she's sorry for what she did and terrified about what comes next.

Brittney Schneider from Grande Prairie, says she was in the city of Chiang Mai last Thursday when she and some others got ``ridiculously drunk'' and made a mistake.

Security camera footage shows Schneider, who is 22, and 23-year-old Furlong Lee of England spraying paint on the walls of the Tha Pae Gate.

They have been charged with vandalizing registered ancient artifacts, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a fine of one million baht, or $40,000. Schneider spent three nights in prison before getting out on bail yesterday.

Why all those moronic peoples wanna do same as they maybe can do home or even worce because they are in another country?

Just visit, adapt for a few days and go back home to do your stupid things there.

Here we also have such a cow (appologies to the animals). Been already jailed in Israel for a few days. Now published pics wearing a burka and lifting up her burka and showing herself naked in Buddhapest inside the aya sophia. Why? She wanna make a statement?! Have not even a clue what statement she wanna tell me.

Will not be surpriced she will end up being a b**** for IS in some country.

"Came across a bottle of spray paint and picked it up".

It was found under sign that said; please use for spraying graffiti on the wall.

Still lying to the bitter end. I do hope the Thai authorities make examples of these 2 thugs and especially the male yob who stands for all that is wrong with Britain. Hope he receives the full 10 years, but doubt he will and will probably soon be back in the UK boasting about this to all his mates.

Always thought before 20 was time for youthful stupidity, how long would you like to extend childhood?

Usually anarchists. They don't like authorities... They have some good points sometimes ...

Some of them are actually good artists and actually try to make their work beautiful..
