No need to sue them. Simply move all foreign manufacturing out and withdraw all foreign investment. Isolate them and live without access to their market. Engaging China is simply not worth it in the end.

That's if you were able to get a judgement. You'd have to prove duty, breach and causation.

 

What duty has China breached? The duty not to cause economic damage to western countries would be a new one.

 

That's just the legal side. Then of course Australia's main trading partner is China. Who'd pay for Australia's resources?

I heard this idea from a Finance Guy:  If China holds a countries debt then stop paying interest and see how they react?  An Interest payment holiday could served a form of compensation for damage caused by the pandemic.  

Just an idea but I doubt many countries will have the courage to try it?

 

The world will never be the same.  The Understatement of the Century.  Gov Cuomo said this: “The New Normal”, My main concern about this New Normal is International Air Travel will be more difficult.  In the future I doubt entering any country will be as easy and simple as it has been(Visa Exempt Entries).  Obtaining a Visa, a health certificate(to show one is Covid 19 free, and adequate travel/medical insurance are some of the items many countries might require before one is allowed entry.  In essence this might just kill tourism in many places.

Not saying I agree with the sentiment, but punishing a population is generally what international sanctions of any kind do. Are you okay with the sanctions the west currently have with North Korea, Iran, Syria, Russia and on and on?
