Antibody tests, among staff at the Thai Red Cross Emerging Infectious Diseases Health Science Centre at the Faculty of Medicine of Chulalongkorn University, who were fully inoculated with the Chinese-made Sinovac vaccine, show rapid reduction of antibody levels, from 90% during the initial stage, to between 30% and 40%, said Dr. Thiravat Hemachudha, head of the centre, on his Facebook post Sunday.

 

He also said, however, that a study of antibodies among people who have received two doses of Sinovac vaccine, jointly conducted by doctors at the Central Chest Institute of Thailand and the National Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Biotec), shows that their antibodies measured 70% and are barely efficacious against the Alpha (UK) or Delta (Indian) coronavirus variants.

 

After having received two doses of Sinovac vaccine, he said that barely any frontline medics were found to be infected with COVID-19 initially and, even if some of them were infected, the symptoms were mild adding, however, that a while later, more medics were found to be infected, some with lung infections, but they survived “until this case.”

It's past time Sinovac was de-registered.

Haven't the Health experts be telling the Government that the Sinovac vaccine is not good enough for these new strains, but yet this Government continues to purchase it..... I suppose its nothing to do with the brown envelopes could it.... 

Oh the horror, the shock, the betrayal people must feel that this government has put all of its eggs in a Chinese basket made of Sinovac.  Let's hope and pray ????for the medical personnel that more don't get sick and die.

The government has dropped the ball by buying these cheap, inefficient Chinese vaccines.

 

It's time to stop saving money and to start saving lives!

 

And then deliver a groveling apology to it's citizens.

Thailand, in case you didn't know, is in China'a pockets, and it is, and always have been, for all intents and purposes, China's lackey, so if they say buy our crappy vaccine, Thailand will buy it...

The supporters of the coup must be so proud.

The boss at CPD will not be too happy his investment turned out to be a dud. I wonder why Thailand decided Sinovac was the way to go in the first place?

 

All those pushing Sinovac over other more widely recognised and successful vaccines, should be held to account

much worse over in Cambodia where Sinovac is the predominately used vaccine for everyone

Sorry to keep asking, but has the local production ramped up at all yet?  I know they paused the jabs until the end of June, but have they been anywhere close to capacity?

First the Chinese Communist Party gives us Covid-19 with their “Gain of Function” experiments……

…..and then the Chinese Communist Party gives us “Sinovac” and “Sinopharm”. 
    
  Glad I got my two shots of Pfizer-BioNTech.

I don't really have much faith in these Thai studies. They seem to be all over the place and produce contradictory results.

1. Couldn't pass the under the table rebate.

 

2. Was available in quantity, since if efficacy result made it barely pass the 50% min, being at the bottom of all approved vaccines.

 

3. The highly anticipated locally made a AZ...the factory produced more excuses and delays than vaccines to date.

I think Sinopharm is garbage also against the Delta variant.  

 

Is anyone in this government going to take the blame for this major screw up?

They're not cheap--though they should be considering how poorly they work. 

Why so much SinoVac?  Let me count the ways:  submarines, high speed tracks, bullet trains, etc., etc.

Have a brother in law in Samut Prakan who went into the hospital a couple of days ago with Covid after having 2 Sinovac injections. The stuff doesn't work and continuing its use will put lives at risk because people will think the cannot catch Covid and ignore any safety protocols.

That is only a very small part of the issue.  The main part is vaccines purchased from China Companies do not have their accounts audited to detect corruptions, where as all developed Countries do have this system in place so anyone dipping their hand in for personal benefit would be found out and prosecuted.  I can never understand what people do not understand that they are voted in to political posts to serve the people, not to serve themselves.  I think it is high time that all those involved with the purchase of vaccines have their accounts investigated, including any overseas accounts, or gold/precious stones/money stored in their or relatives houses.

So maybe someone can explain to me why Thailand has purchased so much of it. It's actually a rhetorical question. We all know why. Certain people are getting wealthy from payoffs by China and in the case of the biggest vaccine joke of all, Russia.
