A new vaccine registration website for foreigners in Thailand will open on August 1, it has been announced.

According to a post on the Thai government's official Facebook page, the new registration website, which is available at: https://expatvac.consular.go.th/ will live go live on Sunday morning.

"A new platform for COVID-19 vaccine registration for foreign residents of all age groups in all provinces in Thailand will be available on 1 August 2021 at 11.00 a.m"

"Foreign nationals aged 60 - 74 who have already registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website will have their records moved to this new vaccination site soon", the post reads.

No information on who will able to register for the vaccines, or if certain groups will be prioritised, was available at the time of posting.

The schedule of when vaccines will be administered and which vaccine doses will be used was also not known.

The news comes as the Prime Minister on Friday confirmed that some of the Pfizer vaccines recently donated by the United States will be given to foreigners in Thailand.

Is this offering for those  60 - 74 only?

Nope. Says all age groups.

Two others websites and a supermarket registration were both failures, maybe 4th time lucky.

But not holding my breath.

Nope. Says all age groups.

All age groups can register...but vaccinations will likely be done in order of risk priority.

Statement on the previous page for the ministry of foreign affairs is muddy and messy, as per usual thai practice of making things:

"Vaccination registration for foreign residents aged 60 and over ONLY (born in 1961 or before) residing in Bangkok and neighboring provinces (Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakarn, Samut Sakhon)

Starting 1 August 2021, this registration site will be migrated to our new and improved site.

Therefore, this site has been closed from 31 July 2021 (6:00 pm.) in order to prepare for the smooth migration.

For those who have registered on this site -
(1) Foreign residents aged 60 and over and have never received COVID-19 vaccination before, your registration on this site is acknowledged. You will be notified via email regarding your COVID-19 vaccination allocation. Then you will receive an SMS confirming your appointment.

(2) Foreign residents aged below 60 and those not eligible to register on this site may register for the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination on the new site at expatvac.consular.go.th starting from 1 August 2021.

For those who have not registered on this site -
(3) Foreign residents who have never registered on this site may register for the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination on the new site at expatvac.consular.go.th starting from 1 August 2021."

So it looks like, the new registration will also be for Bangkok and dark red provinces, but now registering for 18 and above

They previously stated that Sinovac would be the first shot followed by AZ .

Warning message from edge that the website is not safe (What a surprise) if you manage to get there you get te "opening soon" message. QR scan gets you right to the website.

As usual, Chonburi, which is a dark red zone, is not included.

It quite clearly states "A new platform for COVID-19 vaccine registration for foreign residents of all age groups in all provinces in Thailand will be available on 1 August 2021 at 11.00 a.m"
