Popular Post webfact
Picture: Daily News Daily News carried a story about booster doses (third doses) for medical frontliners and the rollout of the Pfizer vaccine that has been donated by the US. But there was absolutely no mention of foreign residents in Thailand in their story. They quoted the CCSA spokeswoman Dr Apisamai Srirangsan who was speaking at Government House yesterday as saying that in the latest round 900 Astra Zeneca third doses had been administered making this 182,082 since February 28th. As far as Pfizer goes they have only jabbed 39,483 doses with 23,481 of those on Sunday. In the first phase of Pfizer jabs 50-60% of frontline medical staff who need it will get jabbed. The efficacy will be noted before the rollout of Pfizer is stepped up. She said that there is plenty more to come in both Bangkok and the provinces. Though she said because of the temperature storage needs of this vaccine it could only be done at certain hospitals so would not be available everywhere. Students going abroad would be next in line. Last week it was stated that part of the 1.5 million donation from the States - reported as part of 150,000 doses - would go to needy foreigners. No mention of this was made in the Daily News story. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-08-10 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1 8

MrJ2U
Definitely trying to calm public fears I think. No mention that it was donated also while praising the government for it. Impossible with the internet though. Everyone can see the foibles of this corrupt and inept government trudging along in a fog of unaccountability. 1

"Before mixing Pfeizer, the vaccine may be stored in the refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C (36°F and 46°F) for up to 1 month (31 days)." Our clinics refrigerator hasn't worked for years until I donated one. Now its full of the clinics employees lunches. 2 2

Very likely that Thailand will not be receiving any more Pfizer vaccine this year now that countries are starting to do 3rd shot boosters.

MedPark do not specify 'Bangkok people' and they probably have Pfizer because they have newer, larger, more capable cold storage facilities. I wish I had registered later now but these cookies seem to crumble in a preset way. Edited August 10, 2021 by nauseus
