We'll have to live with covid...What do you suggest? Shutting down FOR EVER? All Thailand can do is mass immunization and exercise the controls as they doing. You have no right to critise or make gloo

Feel free to explain the logic of importing covid free tourists and a covid boom

  • And all these rules will be very different in the coming weeks.  You know it, I know it.  Dogs know it.

So its okay if you travel from Thailand to a high-risk country for 20 days and come back without quarantine?

As long as it is on their list

New and improved CoE app not mentioned.

1-2 day quarantine hotel while waiting for results not mentioned.

Curfew and bars pubs ???

What about transportation restrictions? Tried to go to Koh Tao a few weeks ago. They wanted a 3000b PCR test to board the boat. Can't make this stuff up...going to stop feeling sorry for the industry soon.

They ask for a PCR  on domestic flight for the fully vaccinated ?

I guess that some have not left taking relying on the multiple stay extensions but, as mentioned, only a guess

Dunno. Wife says yes

Covid explodes for 2 months, then subsides for 2 months, repeat, repeat, repeat ... It does this regardless of lockdowns, curfews, openings or closures, vaccines (though the latter may save lives).

Cambodia here we go!

Really??  Cambodia that needs Covid tests prior to flying and on arrival (like Thailand), Cambodia that needs $50,000 Covid insurance (like Thailand) and Cambodia that still enforces quarantine.  So why are you off to Cambodia when it has tougher rules than Thailand??

hub of variants coming your way soon ,

I'll see what the rules look like after Christmas before shopping for plane tickets. They aren't there yet

Thailand announced rules on Friday...

The only announcement that really counts is the one published in the Government Gazette.

Can somebody post a link to it?

No. Read the new rules. They are simple.

A news article is not "the new rules"

Thailand announced rules on Friday for its quarantine-free reopening to visitors from 45 countries

and the first thing you need to do upon arrival is ...........................quarantine

and that is after a whole pile of ## before you arrive

and when you arrive and are not locked up you have a whole other pile of holiday things you cannot do

how wonderful

It's like a shop saying welcome to our shop - prepay first - our empty shelves are the best in the world  honest .............store detectives might detain you for  being in the building and looking confused

...3. Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha last week said entertainment venues would reopen by Dec. 1.

Could we just escalate rule 3 please, we need to start living life ????

What the prime minister or any other government official said is irrelevant unless and until it is published in the Government Gazette.

Complainers: This @&#^&*$# lock down is killing Thailand, it needs to end now.

Same Complainers: OM<deleted>G if you open up the country, we're all going to die!

Any news as to when the Thailand Pass website is expected to be up and running/accepting applications?

Until, direct flights from Brisbane Australia to Thailand recommence that are not through other Australian states then I won’t be coming ! To many changing rules both in Thailand and back here in Australia , I think I will wait another 6-12 months so I can travel with minimal/potential interruptions to places like Koh Chang

have they done away with the COE requirement?

where do you get covid specific insurance , so you have to buy both covid and medical insurance or there a product where both are covered ?

Yes, if double vaccinated, a negative test just before the flight and a test on arrival (with isolation until a negative result). Okay the latter is perhaps a form of quarantine.....

Please tell me, how many non-drinking tourist will there be? And what are they coming here for a good time?

how  about not tests  at  all just vaccinated

The drinking ones can go to Phuket for a drink can they not. Had a couple myself with dinner last night but of course a little naughty. People can sit at a bar getting drunk just as well at home... how about lying on a beach in the sun watching the kids enjoy themselves? Beats Blackpool in November.....

Well we know vaccinated people can get infected so perhaps not a good idea... less critical if coming from a country with low infection numbers perhaps.
