“Lisa” can’t join Thailand’s New Year countdown celebrations, says YG Entertainment

YG Entertainment recently issued a statement stating that she will NOT be attending the celebrations, due to prior engagements. YG says, however, that they are grateful and highly honoured to have been invited and would like to thank everyone for their support.

 

Subsequently, the Tourism Authority of Thailand released a statement which says that “the TAT Seoul Office has been informed by Lisa’s agency that she is unable to attend the Amazing Thailand Countdown event” and that they “acknowledge and respect the decision”.

 

Previously, Tourism and Sports Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn had announced that the ministry would request a special budget of over 100 million baht to have Lisa and Andrea Bocelli appear at Thailand’s New Year countdowns.

Heck, she is owned by YG. YG commands high fees and most entertainers are booked a year in advance for New Years.

Thats what happens when top officials brag about an appearance by Buriram native Lisa, as if they thought wishful thinking would make it come true. Serves them right and also no mention yet about that opera singing Andrea Bocelli who I'm happy to say I had never heard of anyway.

How funny.  You would think they would have checked her availability before announcing it. But they were so arrogant that they just assumed she would drop everything and come to Thailand for that kind of money.  Even if she wanted to come, she is under contract to YG Entertainment who discovered her in Thailand and made her what she is today. They probably plan more than a few days in advance and have planned her New Year schedule long ago. 

 

But what a loss of face for the government.  555

Lisa’s mouth is busy on the New Year’s eve, apparently, singing at another location. My guess, the girl was contacted in private and gave her full consent. But the puppet’s owners had a totally different schedule for her. Oops…
