In other news:

It happens during a Christmas party & I believe he says "merry fkn Christmas + it was released around Christmas.....

Given it's popularity, it was definitely a Christmas present for the studio....

Not in a traditional sense....

I don't think I ever managed to watch it all the way through.

One year mum managed to cook the turkey with the plastic bag of giblets still inside.

Nah, It'll taste OK, and it did.

We are not having turkey this year, so I'm hoping Chicken Run will be on.

Only if you can't separate the real life guy to the actor....

BWDS

Decidedly not.  I believe only a lawyer would be capable of successfully arguing that it is.

If a six-year old kid doesn't understand it or the language used is not suitable for that age group, it ain't a Christmas Movie.

Probably the best Christmas movie ever made was Debbie does Santa.

"Die Hard" is a Christmas movie in the same sense that "Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence" is.

Would you prefer Justin Bieber or what? Or maybe a (kind of) female actor?

If groupthink it's a Christmas movie, then it is. But don't go thinking this question has never been asked before...

The most essential Christmas movies are: Die Hard 1 and 2, Home Alone 1 and 2.

Don't forget Bad Santa. Skip Bad Santa 2, it was weak.

Ironic, I am watching right now! The Santa Clause, Home Alone, The Christmas Chronicles, It’s a Wonderful Life, there are more, including The Grinch but the most dear to my heart … Charles Dickens, “A Christmas Carol” with George C. Scott. The Spirit of Christmas Present … “Ignorance and Want … upon their brow is written doom”.

That's funny, I have never thought of The Wizard of Oz as being a Christmas movie.

Maybe a little bit too much Christmas cheer for Mom lol.

My mother was an absolute spectacular cook the only thing I recall her ever is screwing up was brussel sprouts one Thanksgiving.

As a kid, the ghosts in Christmas Carol used to freak me out.

I'm no fan of home alone I think I was just too old when it came out. It's not really about Christmas as I recall but it just has a bit of a theme. Could be Valentine's Day or groundhog Day.

Yeah, much like Nic Cage his movie career has had its ups and downs. Nevertheless, I think that Pulp Fiction was epic. There were parts of it that were silly as in any Tarantino movie and even dragged but overall it was definitely unique.

If any of you have not watched Pulp fiction it is not a Christmas movie lol

What about "The blood thirsty humpbacked vampire in the chip shop"....it's a musical, all done in the best possible taste (RIP Kenny)

I thought Dai Hard was about about a Southwalian cop who took on the street gangs of Llanelli!

Or am I getting confused? Never mind, my medicines are due in 5 minutes

Why would it need to be asked?  Diehard is a Christmas movie.

Is It's A Wonderful Life a Christmas movie?

are Buddhists allowed to worship Santa Claus??

I think the favorite i for many years (UK) is "Love Actually".but "Die hard" is also a frequent runner but I woukdnt refer to it as a "Christmas" movie.

If it's not about Christ, it's not a Xmas movie, just a holiday movie, or shown at Xmas time.
