BANGKOK, Dec 9 (TNA) – Premchai Karnasuta, president of Italian-Thai Development pcl, who was sentenced to jail for illegal hunting in a wildlife sanctuary four years ago suffered many illnesses, said the director-general of the Corrections Department.

Ayut Sintoppant, the director-general, said Premchai was sent to the Thong Pha Phum prison yesterday (Dec 8th) to serve his term of two years and 14 months for charges related to his hunting in the Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary and this morning a doctor from Thong Pha Phum Hospital was monitoring his physical conditions.

The doctor found yesterday that Premchai had many chronic diseases including hypertension and fatty liver and he had just undergone cataract surgery, Mr. Ayut said.

His biggest problem is bad acting. Fatty liver and hypertension. That shouldn't stop him serving his jail sentence. Nor should cataract surgery. He is a chancer. If he is released due to ill health, then so should all the other peasants serving time, with real ill health problems be released.????

Quite right. Because it also didn't stop him from serving as company president and siphoning off all the profits, a large chunk of which contributed to his morbid obesity, hypertension and fatty liver, I suppose. Or embark on random camping trips into the wilderness, for that matter.

But actually everything seems to go exactly as planned from the start. Less than 24 hours after being jailed, he reportedly already has filed a petition to be transferred to "a hospital outside the prison system," which without doubt will be granted. And we all know how that is going to pan out: comfy single room, personal nurse, unlimited visits from family members and sycophants alike, a lone guard at the door who is absent or falls asleep very often, a plentiful supply of all the luxuries he is accustomed to -- and early release on account of his (self-afflicted) poor health... shortly after which his grave condition will miraculously improve, of course.

He's doing a "Somchai Khuenplome" and we shouldn't be surprised at all.

Well of course he does.  He need to be taken to a special Hilton hospital to care for his maladies.  ????  I wonder how many of the common prisoners in Thailand' general population suffer from similar or worse conditions and how they are treated?  I imagine Black Panther Soup Man will be treated with kid-gloves Hi-So prisoner treatment not afforded the normal riff-raff - like his co-accomplices. I wonder where they will rot.

No comment required. TIT!

Who said there was no precedent in the Thai legal system?

This is a path forged by others for a prison sentence being served in the police hospital, with the side benefit of having the government paying for all the treatment.

Losing some weight in jail will help with both diseases!

He certainly doesn't look that well, "Rough as a dead panther, if one can coin a phrase"!

"To serve his term of two years and 14 months?"

He is still not as badly off as the dead black panther.

No sympathy from here.

And the soap opera and farce begins. All so predictable. TIT.

He will do a Mubarek and look how long he lasted considering he was at 'deaths door.'. Comically predictable.

Honestly I am surprised it even went to trial!

Don't rich Thais just pay someone who looks vaguely like them to serve their prison sentence?

When a black cat crosses your path it brings bad luck. But not quite so bad for some people.????

And so it begins. Barely 24 hours in and already preparing for his departure. There are many people in prison who are in considerably worse condition, but we don't hear about them. Fatty here is the sick boy on the block, must take good care of him.

Be a man Fatty. You did the crime, now do the time.

He's also allergic to confinement.

  • Popular Post

Are we setting up his release or special treatment on  compassionate grounds already? How much compassion did he show the animal he killed?

  • Popular Post

Hypertension is a matter of diet and exercise, fatty liver is again diet and no booze - both is easily arranged inside a prison.
A cataract surgery is, today, an issue between two cups of coffee - the drawback is, that he will see the manure he is in much clearer now.

How can such an oligarch pr1ck expect any compassion for what he did - the panther had neither hypertension, fatty liver and the animal's eyesight was not good enough to see this human coward's intension .......... fatal for the panther and non-fatal for this pristine example of a hypochondriac embarrassment!

You can't make this up - many of us have all of the above and a lot more and live normal lives - but for him this is "many chronic diseases"?

According to the BP, Premchai is asking for release due to check ups in Bangkok.

I suspect there are many prisoners in jail with worse illnesses

that know they will never get out, and will die inside , it happens

all too often when VIP's the World over , get the go to jail card,

out come the walking sticks, crutches and Zimmer frames its

really pathetic ,if you do the crime , do the time....

That's what you get for eating "bush-meat". And drinking fresh blood.

Is the eye-patch new?

No neck-brace, yet.
