Pattaya, Thailand-Pattaya Police announced through their social media channels that they arrested a foreign national early this morning for allegedly causing a major public disturbance.

Details were limited but the incident took place last night on January 26th/27th, 2022, near a supermarket in South Pattaya.

Pattaya Police responded to urgent reports from local residents that a shirtless, Caucasian, well built foreign man around 35-40 years old was allegedly aggressively bothering pedestrians and people in the area, challenging them to fights and shouting. The man was seemingly heavily intoxicated, according to police.

I do wish that many foreiners in Thailand under that "clothes meketh the man", especially to 40s and beer drinkers.

Shirtless at the beach, the rest of the time some "shrouding" required.

Which Soi in South Pattaya.

Pi**ed as a newt no doubt, luckily no real harm done, and kudos to the police for their apparent calm handlng of the situation. It all adds to the flavour, as they say. Sober reflection in the hungover cold light of day, assuming he even remembers, will no doubt bring its own punishment, along with what I assume will be a hefty fine.

Idiot what a total idiot.

When the article quoted ‘Caucasian, well built foreign man’ I thought... oh no, Rob’s finally kicked off !! ????

We should run a sweepstakes on the nationality...

We’ve already had Russian - by champers

I’m going to go for a Brit - Just to get that out there before you to Rob ????

And you are quite right, Rob....  Alcohol does cause mayhem - some people really can’t behave on the stuff.... is it the booze or just an utter to$$er who already exists and booze brings the natural character to surface?

I specifically did not mention nationality as i think we got these idiots everywhere. In my country we got idiots who consider it a bad night out when there is no fighting and recently Dutch youth on holiday killed an other Dutch youth. The case is ongoing. But it just shows that there are idiots everywhere.

Richard, unfortunately or luckily I don't like the taste of alcohol. So i rarely drink, i sometimes try at parties and if the first glass is not to bad i might drink more and get drunk, but that never results in me getting aggressive. I just get more talkative and then fall asleep.

As alcohol removes inhibitions i would say these people are utter to$$ers without alcohol hide it but with alcohol that inhibition is gone. But what is sad is that its usually known to these idiots but they just keep on drinking.

I am one of these guys that say do all drugs (alcohol is a drug too) you like as long as you don't operate a vehicle or bother others. Their life and as long as it does not impact others then who are we to judge them.

There is a higher chance to see me get caught with pot (also low as it kills my dieet) then alcohol ????

Agreed....

The Thai Police seem to handle the ‘crazies’ quite well without the need the ‘escalate’ the situation as some forces in other nations would.. In other countries this situation would be dealt with by force, taser, takedown, knee on neck type response...

The police here seem to exercise a greater deal of patience.... Kudos as you say....

Then they go stuff it taking bribes from helmet-less riders, drunk drivers and light jumpers etc...

So many allegedly(s) for something very certain. Thaivisa Farang apologists and clickbait Thai trolling since 2002

No Thais wanted to take him up on his challenge either. They all backed down and called the police.

They didn't "back down" if they never confronted the idiot, they did the right thing by calling the police but you seem to share part of the psyche of the offender and think taking up the challenge is being tough. Pathetic

Reporting in Thailand is not very good and many details are left out. He was instigated and provoked by multiple drunk Thais who bit off more than they could chew with the young crazy foreigner and ran to the police.

Nice to see that it was quite a young guy not wearing a mask (or a shirt) and acting like a lout. Some people on here seem to think that only self-entitled old expats would behave this way, lol.
