The other day we were at the pet hospital on Sukhumvit,a Russian guy came in and in broken English started asking the girl on the desk,something ,long story short 2 more staff came as he got louder and louder,next thing he swept all the signs off the counter then started hitting the covid shield,and then stormed out kicking another sign.

It seems they had told him that they could not give him blood tests for his dog until he paid for them.

Why are people like him such idiots gives all of us a bad name

Well, guess he had learnt proper behavior from his hero role model back home... 

typical Russian behavior/attitude..... had a similar experience 5-6 years ago at a resort beach in Spain with a bunch of young "rich" football players from Russia, they think they own the world, no class, no education

True to a point, but I use idiot farangs like him to my advantage.  When the Thais get to know me and see I'm not "like them" they trust me more and I get treated better, lower pricing, friendlier service.

Let those miserable lots suffer in their own hate & anger.

The staff were so shaken ,shame because they were so helpful to us and it was the first time we had been there as its new and the vet we normaly use was closed,also i was suprised that their cost for the cats rabies jab and some other thing( ask the wife lol) was very good for such a posh pet hospital

Have you been to Russia?  These are tourists, how can they be typical?   they probably are rich. very rich, and falangs no like rich.   no education?  how can you know this?  lol

 

I met some nice Russians, and some with tempers.  If I see a backpacker acting crazy, I know they are NOT typical of people back in their country.  They are in Thailand.  lol.   can't be typical.  

Several years ago I was driving my bike down Jomtien Soi 5 around 6:30am and I spotted a Russian guy in a speedo chasing a police man. Lol. Seems he was being disruptive at the hotel next to immigration.
Obviously very drunk. He then whipped it out in full view of the spectators that were gathering and took a leak in the middle of the road. 

Before too long some Thai leveled the guy with a 2x4 to the back of his head and the cop handcuffed him as he lay there nose to the pavement. The cop stood back and watched a mob of Thais kick his head in. 
The 2x4 guy took a full swing and cracked him in the head again and I have doubts he could have survived. 

 

 

Went to a fundraiser for the orphaned children of Pattaya......all going well, a bit of a karaoke started to take place....kind of open mic night.

 

A big drunken oaf got on to stage and grabbed the mic and started giving it large....I was told he was Russian........the poor Thais were at a complete loss......we left just as he started to take a swing at people.....having said that it could easily have been a Brit or a Swede or a...........

I've lived in Thailand long enough to see idiots from every country, I was in a bar recently when a belligerent drunk Canadian was on a nonstop 5-10 minute tirade of cursing & yelling at any Thai within his field of view, when one of the girls asked him to be quite/calm down he went off on her, after a couple of minutes she had enough and jumped over the bar and tried to get him to leave, that's when the scuffle started, him shoving the girl, her delivering slaps and Muay Thai style kicks to the drunken idiot.  The "funny" thing was he was in a wheelchair, the other girls broke up the scuffle and they wheeled him out the door.  

You have to consider what type of Russians can afford to visit Thailand. The Russians I have met are not exactly overpaid back home so few of the "average, normal" Russian can even contemplate a holiday to Thailand.

Although his reaction was totally out of order. It may be that he loves his dog so much and he has no money because of the d1ckhead Putin's actions.

Many Russian people do not agree with their president.

Still does not excuse his violent behaviour.

Shusssh, many xenophobic septuagenarians here are scared of their own shadow let alone a Russian in Thailand....555.  Giving a nationality to this behavior only feeds into their hatred any foreigner in Thailand.  Xenophobic foreigners in Thailand are a joke.

I have a Russian expat friend here in Pattaya, normal guy, wife kid.  But of course many here would stereotype him without even knowing him.

I saw a guy like this in Cambodia and he wanted Vodka.

Same guy was refused a free bag in Tesco just earlier, just not his day.

Back in the days of my having to do visa runs, I was on the bus just starting its trip to the Cambodian border. Why the folks who ran the operation didn't collect up front I'll never understand. Anyway, the gal started at the back of the bus, moving her way forward to collect the fee. She got to a Russian who was sleeping on his seat, asked him for his money, and he started arguing, saying he didn't want to pay. We collectively started yelling at him and he finally got the message. I just don't get that mindset.

Here is one I heard, a young 16 year Italian thug slapped a Mafia Boss without recognizing him on street, Mafia boss smiled and gave him some money and praised his courage. Entourage was baffled why Mafia Boss let him go. Next day when Mafia boss walking the same street saw the same thug dead on street bleed to death, stabbed. Mafia boss smiled and said, look like he met his match today!

Plus he was probably a communist! ????

We got idiots everywhere but if you combine idiots and alcohol the disaster is even bigger.

I do wonder how the OP knew this was a Russian. I would not know Russian from Ukraine (language wise)

 

Anyway some countries have more idiots then others but in general we all got them and too bad they travel too and make us all look bad.
