In around a month half of Issan will be harvesting their weed.
Imported compressed (brick) weed will totally disappear and be replaced with locally grown weed of a slightly higher quality.

This will cost few thousand baht a kilo and will be low-medium  quality outdoor bud.

 

This is your beer chang of weed.

 

The outdoor weed will gradually increase in quality when the local farmers understand more high tech outdoor methods

 

Then there is the top shelf indoor stuff that will sell for Canadian prices or maybe a little less given that its totally legal here and labor is much cheaper.

 

I suspect most stoners will be smoking low-medium grade outdoor weed which costs next to nothing and buy champagne for special occasions.

 

Its hard to see how the  locals are going to want to spend 600/g  on bud.

 

Thai people are quite ingenious in many ways, and they are a nation of farmers and many of the modern strains are based off Thai strains.

 

Its hard to see how this is going to be a massive money-maker for all these cannabis companies popping up now.

 

Personally I will pay more for stuff that is organic, or at least not covered in pesticide like the imported brick weed. Im not going to be spending for high grade stuff, since i use a vaporizer and honestly the really sticky stuff doesnt vape that well and tastes more pungent than the ordinary stuff when vaped

Thanks to all the diligent research being done. I have a question for all or any here. My biggest concern, is the use of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. I know that Thai farmers like the stuff.

So a test of purity for me is the ash. Can you folks tell me when giving a critique on a certain product, if the ash you get is black and chunky or white to light gray. I like to know what I'm ingesting.

I've used Cannabis for over 50 years, never came across anyone who overdosed on it. I once smoked 70 spliffs in a day, wthout overdosing. Some people just crave attention, which is probably the real reason behind these admissions.

People are happy to pay top dollar, to buy  from a well known seller and for convenience.......

 

Look no further than Starbucks.....Heck Amazon coffee sells for half the price and are often nearby...And the local hole in the wall shop sells coffee for 15-20% of Starbucks price....

 

And guess what? Starbucks is always busy...lol

As stated above, I have tried a few of these expensive exotics and felt more comfortable with the one that you label as garbage.

The Thai commercial grade sativa I purchased recently for 100฿/g didn't have much smell or taste, and didn't look especially tasty, but it certainly did its job.

I've grown and sampled my share of strains in Colorado, and there is certainly a certain cache that high grade weed offers, but after 50 years of indulgence, it comes down to utility for me now.

 

I recently bought a very expensive Dewalt cordless drill. It looks great and I enjoy using it. The hole it makes however looks exactly like a hole made by a cheap corded drill.

 

The bottom line for me is that it's now legal, decent weed readily available, and at decent prices. That's the real headline here.

I do agree with a previous reply saying we should be sharing information and sources as we savor this wonderful windfall.

Overdosing on weed is just common for amateurs. Unlike many drugs like alcohol however, it does no permanent damage.

 

BTW, in my opinion ALL societies are immature as the current state humans find themselves in readily demonstrates. Whether we survive long enough to mature is an open question. Personally I'm very pessimistic about that.

Regarding Green Crack, it's a great strain but I think most outdoor local landrace is falling into this category. I've seen this name used hundreds of times here with prices ranging from 50 baht to 850 baht per gram.

 

 

The primary aroma/taste of brickweed is ammonia. And no it's not from fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, like those would even be economical to utilize. That is from the putrification of the damp plants rotting away. The mold/mildew is an extra I guess?

 

 

It would be helpful if folks could post about something they've actually purchased and consumed, maybe with photos and a review?

Fridge not necessary, maybe for trim the freezer until you can process (ice water/screened hash, fresh rosin).

 

Any tightly sealing jar, along with a Boost or Boveda pack works best.

If you want to get an idea of pricing, you can look up sellers in the U.S. online and compare pricing. Generally, U.S. dispensaries will be the least expensive. Compare the price of green crack to yours. Do you think it could be the same quality, certified, and tested for THC/CBD, and sell for the paltry amount the seller is asking? Not all growers can achieve optimum results with the same strain that is why testing is important.

There are countless accounts of Cannabis OD, bad trips, paranoia, etc. But nothing deadly like horse and fentanyl.
